It's also rather generic on its first effect. Any Level 8 or higher Synchro. Borreload Savage is a Level 8 DARK Dragon Synchro Monster, so you can use both effects of Red Rain.

The funny thing is Red rain just makes playing red dragon archfiends in a synchron deck an even better idea. How? It's fucking snchrons, just summon librarian go to town which is made easier thanks to the level 5 synchro that summons bunch of tuners, draw a bunch of card, one of them possibly this. Not to mention this also works with Crystal wing synchro dragon, another great card. And finally tuning might end up milling Red Rain meaning, if it happens, you get a +1 when you summon your Dark dragon Synchro monster. I love this card so much. Is it meta? Nah. But that it's fun to play red super nova in synchrons. You can also summon tyrant which is a big bonuc imo, I love that card and it's art so much. As for the rest of the support, well I love the new resonator. It looks so cute. The familliar guy just makes me wanna question wtf is going on here but it is a good eff. The search card is decent.

Two things: You'll have to work a little harder to summon RDAs in Synchrons because you cant use Red Rising Dragon; Its effect restricts you to RDAs for the rest of the turn. And Red Familiar is supposed to be the servant of Red Nova (the demon), which was used to create Red Nova Dragon.

@@reaflor91 junk speeder can summon supernova with ease even in mr4 (junk converter+discard fodder). getting the trap card on the other hand (using hyper librarian) is not as easy (maybe using trap trick, doppel warrior and halqifibrax?). and for some reason synchron have easier time summoning supernova than summoning quasar.

Monsters that do not have levels are also fair game. The 'highest level' stipulation on the card refers only to the card(s) that will be unaffected by card effects and not get banished. Everything else will experience the reign of pain.

Ima be that guy, the card NEEDED to be that good because against links or xyz this doesn't banish them and MR4.5 unrestricts the MMZ so you can spam xyz combos all day long and link spamming is still a thing. You still gotta get the synchro out there as well just for the first effect to be usable, though that second effect is still pretty nice regardless since it's already in the graveyard so you could pitch it somehow and then synchro the level 8 dark dragon to bring it back and then set it for next turn.
