Thanks for a nice trip down 'memory lane'. This was their 2nd MV (early fall of 2017), and their first big Hit in Japan. It also broke into the European Metal scene and earned them an invitation to be the first all-female Metal band ever invited to Wacken Open Air. This is Lovebites shotly after the First Anniversary of Lovebites. It's just Amazing how good they already were after being together as a band for just a Year! 🤘🏻🐺🐺🐺🤘🏻

One of my favorite songs of theirs, though I like their lives, I like the music video for this song a bit more. That riff before the solo and the guitar solo is stellar. Definitely the Metal Queens 🤘

An older song, from the first album Awakening From Abyss, lyrics by Asami, music by Miyako (then known as Mi-Ya). Of course they are in good shape, thay have to be to play the hour and a half to 2 hour shows they put on.

In the original music video (circa October 2017), they interrupted their performance to insert an announcement about the release date of their first full-length album and live dates. (Exactly the part where you first paused) Then, while the band was on hiatus, they removed and re-uploaded the portion of the announcement that was already no longer needed. At that time, for some reason, they also re-uploaded the third music video "The Crusade" (circa June 2018), so only these two videos differ from the actual release date.

Because I’m old (ish) I was fed on a diet of Ritchie Blackmore, be it Purple or Rainbow. So the very first time I heard this song I had to play “Gates of Babylon” by Rainbow (with Dio). Although not identical, the opening and closing “Phrygian” riff is uncannily similar to the main riff of “Gates” only MUCH faster. I know Miyako has listened to a lot of Ritchie’s music, and I did read somewhere that part of the reason for that is because her mom was always listening to Purple and Rainbow. Don’t know if it’s true but it would be cool if it is. So the question I always wanted to ask Miyako was is the similarity intentional?
