The manga version of this fight was crazy, when his hardening was cracked at the beginning of the fight it literally started spewing blood everywhere. By the end of the fight he was LITERALLY red because he was covered head to toe in his own blood. I’ve never seen something so awesome in my life 🥲

Yeah the anime censored the hell out of a lot of scenes. Hardening is not like he's wearing a suit of armor, he's basically having his skin punched off over and over again. The anime makes it look like he's just tired but Rappa beat him into hamburger.

I always love those backstories where people who were cowards stand up. While Kirishima wasn't a coward, he saw himself as one. I just love those characters that jump over their shadow and get over their fear to save others or stand up for others. (it reminds me of some of Usopp's best moments, when everyone knows he's scared shitless, but he still takes action or stands up for someone - like in Alabasta when he protects Luffy's pride even while completely beaten down). Also I'd five this MVP to Fatgum, his "you underestimated the greatest shield - the hero Red Riot!" line alone deserves it for me- he completely believes in his mates, even when he WAS down and scared.

For Ange, The parallel between the Deku, Bakugo, and All Mights Dynamic and Kirishima, Mina, and Crimson Riot is definitely there. Regardless of wether you ship Kirishima and Mina or not you could take the speech Deku gave the Bakugo during their fight (3x23) and it could apply to Kirishima too Deku says something along the lines of 'All Might may have been my hero but you were the one who was actually in my life' basically Telling bakugo that he just as much his 'hero' as All Might Obviously their relationships aren't similar but the parallel is there
