This movie has probably J.T. Walsh's best performance. Walsh was one of the best actors to ever play villians. His bad guys weren't flamboyant evil doers, they were dull middle of the road guys with a hole where their conscience should be. They were real. He died of a heart attack a few years after he made Red Rock West. The screen was poorer for his loss.

I agree completely. I can't believe it took me so long to watch this movie. He was great in it. He just blends into the movie seamlessly. But that is also what make him so great. Especially on second watch.

J.T. Walsh, what an actor. He's mine and my dad's favorite. He left us too soon, but what a body of work he left. Whenever J.T. Walsh showed up in a film, you knew there was a wild twist coming. So great. Genius actor, and his turns as villains are unrivaled. Rest in Peace, Mr. Walsh, your legacy lives on.

Great review! Very helpful overview of both the film and the new Cinématographe line that VS is doing.

Just ordered Red Rock West and Little Darlings. Watched RRW on VHS when it first came out. Forgot about it until your review. Need to work some overtime, VS is draining my funds.

Will their be a 4k edition to come later ?

I highly doubt it..I would never say never. However I feel they would have done it with this edition.

7:58 seconds... 7:58 seconds of meaningless mumbo jumbo before saying a word about the movie. Do you understand how utterly ridiculous that is ? When I clicked on this video I was under the impression that I would be watching a movie review.... Boy was I wrong.
