Well played Holly Aitcheson, deserved player of the match and her kicking was impeccable. I think that she would be my first choice 10 even when Zoe Harrison is fit. Good to see Megan Jones and Ella Wyrwas getting a start, I do like Ella's speed of pass and thhey both scored good tries.. Hannah Botterman, although a real threat with the ball, plays so close to the edge that she concedes too many penalties. I like the look of Maisie Allen. How on earth does John Mitchell settle on his first choice centre pairing as they are all playing well . To confuse it even more I would throw Helena Rowland into the mix.

I watched this game. England lost their way again in the 2nd half. Not sure why but it happens every match they play and I’m sure France and New Zealand will try to take advantage of Englands lack of concentration in that 2nd half.

Shame that WXV was not over two month's and not concurrent, 1,2,3, should be spaced out over twelve weeks, two and three ar just being sidelined with WXV 1 as the main event.

Not seen a worse ref, what happened with the Australian try, the Australian number 9 was standing right in front of the English tackler, most obvious obstruction I have ever seen. As to the rest of the game she seemed unable to see the colour green, Australians loitering in offside positions in English channels ruined the game and it got worse as the game went on, and the Australians realised they could get away with it, killed the game. But I guess it kept the English score down so a result.

This is not the RWC. Its a new competition to played each year now instead of international tests. The Womens rugby world cup was played last year 2022 and NZ beat england in NZ.
