Great story and the result looks awesome. I've seen where sling shot /catapult guys can craft very attractive forks from dead wood which was beginning to rot and I believe the characteristic dark speckled /patchy appearance which results from early decay is referred to as 'spalted' eg made from 'spalted ash' or 'spalted willow' etc. It does weaken the wood though so they have to be careful to select a suitably strong piece.

It is amazing it held up at all in those conditions. Looks vintage even with a little paint and new butt stock.

Thanks! Yes, I wish I had before pictures. And again this is all original, just a lot of rubbing & patience. Appreciate you watching. 🤝

Such great guns. I had a Daisy 94. I believe that was the number. It was back in the late 50s that I had it. It came with a leather boot on the end of the butt stock. We had a huge forest with a creek about a mile from the house. Perfect place for a kid and a Red Ryder BB gun. I just recently purchased the adult version. Second childhood is almost as good as the first, except I can’t move around like in the first. 😂

That model 94 has eluded me now for quite some time now. Great looking rifles! Lol! I know what you mean, a blast to shoot, but the action part of it is long gone. Have fun with that Red Ryder, and thanks for watching! 🤠👍

@@TheDaisyAirgunCollector I'd love to get my hands on one myself. I think I'll get my Red Ryder out today and have some fun. Time to release some of the kid in me. 😊

So you are saying that gun is a Brush Gun? 😂 Some little kid shot someones window and hide the evidence in the Bush. 😂 Thanks for sharing Ron, that is quite the treasure.

Lol! Probably! It would be interesting to know for sure why it was put there. Thanks for watching brother! 👍

I wonder if it was a hiding place for some kid that didn't want his parent to know he had a BB gun
