These additional challenges can actually make a lot of sense in the Pokémon universe as a whole. I don't remember any original video before this one, but this was nothing short of spectacular! I really like the fact that you used such a variety of moves, but the moves that you picked where actual moves the pokemon have in the games. You also got the correct sound effects to go with them from the games too. I'd imagine the planning phase took a while in addition to the animation phase.

If every gym badge would be obtained this way, the pokémon games would be more challenging. I wonder though. Once every kanto gym is done, will the johto gym be next or will there be the elite 4? If THIS is what most be done in a gym, the elite 4 and champion most probably are death sentence in comparison. Lance getting you devored by his dragons. Agata possessing you with her ghost and then snap your neck. Bruno getting you chased by some figthing type or onyx while machamp throws freaking mountains at you. Lorelei freezing you like a mammoth to be discovered millenia later. Blue? As the champion, I can't comprehend the horors 1 should face to beat him. XD
