Snow White is pretty comfortable being herself, but noticed some biaseness by people around her whenever she puts on the red shoes.

Really a shame about the scandal, given the direction the story takes (though to be fair I was one of those super skeptical watchers who thought, based on the old trailers, it'd be more raunchy then it was). I think this is a really good movie! It has an amazing message and wonderful characters. I especially love Merlin and Snow White/ Red Shoes. I think this movie would have been popular if it wasn't for bad advertising. THERE IS NO FAT SHAMING IN THIS MOVIE! It's actually the opposite. Snow White/ Red Shoes actually loves her real self compared to her magical/skinny self, she is not at all insecure about herself. In fact, I love how confident she is about herself. Merlin is probably the most insecure character in this movie. He is all about appearances and good looks. He thinks the only positive characteristic he has is his handsome face. Like, he thinks people only like him because he is a handsome prince. That being said, he is a narcissistic and self-centred character. But still, he is an interesting and enjoyable character, too.
