I have not seen this in years and it brings back so many warm memories. This man was one of a kind and the world is a better place for him and his gift of laughter and sadder because he is gone. We could all still learn from him.

I watched Red's show when I was a kid, but hadn't seen this Canadian special till now. And I didn't realise till watching the Pediatric Ward scene that he's probably the only male clown I ever liked.

It feels good seeing this but it must have been hard for Red to do the scene in the hospital, because after he lost his son, he couldn’t preform at children’s hospitals for a long time

There is something SO comical about how at first Freddy seems so strange. And then he runs across the drunk Santa who is far more out of it. Granted we got to know Freddy a little longer, and we have seen some of his beautiful points. But it is funny how the eccentric Freddy appears normal when he runs across the even stranger drunk Santa.

When the drunk Santa was commenting about how bad business was, Freddy could have said: "You could try sticking around and see if you have any luck selling trees for the Russian Christmas" on January 6th." That would have been funny. Or when Freddy asked what he was going to do with the trees, the drunk Santa could have said: "Leave them there. Maybe I'll have better luck on the Russian Christmas." And with the orange tree, Freddy could have said: "Maybe you could get away with that if we were in Florida."
