Picking WC Fields as Scrooge was an absolutely genius idea because he had already played kind of a miser in his movies

I absolutely LOVE the song that plays between 7:03-7:56! It was later covered by English rock star Hank Marvin, but I wish there was a recording of THIS original in its entirety. Maybe someday...

Thank you for post this! I will never forget my Dad taking me to see The Empire Strikes Back in 1980 or Return of the Jedi in 1983, but for the life of me I couldn't remember seeing Star Wars for the first time. Our house didn't have a VCR until 1986 but we had HBO. This finally explains it. :D

I recall watching Red at my grandparents. Some of the only "non Christian" VHS they had. I still have a box set of Red Skelton on VHS. It was a different world then.

4:27 - this was always more hilarious because the music in the background was also used in a toy commercial in the early 80s. I just don't remember what it was... I want to say something Fischer-Price but I don't remember...

3:35 “What you are about to witness is real. The participants are not actors. They are the actual people who have already either filed suit or been served a summons to appear in a California Municipal Court. Both parties in the suit have agreed to dismiss their court cases, and have their disputes settled here …. in our forum. The People’s Court”.

Would you happen to have a recording of HBO's What on Earth? which aired around 1981-82? I'm not interested in fully episodes, just the animated intro and the part where Orson Bean introduces himself. Maybe you can post that to KZbin or I can give my email address to send it? Please let me know.
