Hello everyone! :D It's Paper Mario time!
I've been keeping an eye on this game every since they announced it a few months back and when they posted this new battle theme on Twitter... I knew I had to do something with it! I love how catchy the soundtrack seems to be so far. The instrumentation itself gives me strong Mario Kart 8 vibes and I love it!
As any Paper Mario battle theme, this song is very short looping after not even a minute so I had to come up with some ways to make it longer without feeling boring. I hope you'll enjoy the little acoustic bits I threw in there!

Actually, it's the first variation of the regular battle theme. The reason why it's called "Red Streamer Battle" is because it plays in worlds where the red streamer looms over.

Great job man! I love the tone/mix of your drums, especially the snare. Is it possible to achieve that tone if I wanted to record myself playing drums (instead of programming it), or do i need a ton of extremely expensive mics and mixing expertise to do that?

I personally program them one hit at a time using Toontrack Superior Drummer 2 but if you have an electronic drum you could always use the Superior Drummer sound patches as your MIDI preset! I don't really know how to record real drums otherwise... :O
