they generally don't have sense of evenly feedings of the chiks they continue to feed the chik that response first,btw,why the parents oftenly dig the nest.

i really ponder that often, i love reading those pdf files online of the past research they have done w/ birds of prey. I haven't come across that topic yet tho,...as to the digging comment,...was that a question?

yeah, it seems bizarre given that they seem to be smart in other ways like combat etc, but can't figure out that all their chicks need to be fed. i think eagles do a better job of this. in another bald eagle nest, when one eaglet was aggressive towards another eaglet and not letting it eat, the mom eagle was withholding food from the aggressive eaglet until it learned its lesson and let the other younger eaglet feed as well. i also think the crows would do a better job of feeding all chicks. it seems like some birds have higher iq than others. RTH don't seem to be high up the ladder in the iq department at least with feeding chicks. but they do appear to be very smart hunting birds especially when humans use the RTH for hunting all types of prey. The only time i've seen a RTH lose a straight fight was against a Great Horned Owl. But the GHO is a badass and has a grip strength that far outperforms even some eagles. Otherwise the RTH always gets the kill whether when aiding humans or fighting prey for itself.

I feel sorry for that poor pigeon who was torn to pieces by that red-tailed hawk. They are beautiful birds, but vicious.
@robertingersoll30398 ай бұрын
they're just birds of prey. there is no viciousness. nature intended for them to be that way. the Red Tailed Hawks need to survive too.

Don't start with your ignorant observations. The mom did fed the younger one. Quite a few bites , they will both be just fine.
