**Red VS Blue Q&A Summarized:** *1)* 9:51 - *"Doesn't this go against the whole point of Red VS Blue to have a team win? Aren't they in a perpetual stalemate because they are of equal skill in the show?"* - *_Nope, they AREN'T of equal skill in the show._* For one, by this logic, _any_ Death Battle goes against the points of the combatants' stories by having them fight characters from other stories, so that's bunk. Secondly, the two teams were in a stalemate because they were literally just standing around and talking rather than focusing on actually fighting the (supposed) war, not because their skills/abilities were evenly matched (and they aren't, as Caboose, Tex and Tucker have proved they have the power and skills necessary to overwhelm the largely weaker Reds like Grif, Simmons and Donut). *2)* 11:35 - *"Why did you put Tex on the Blue team and not Sister, Washington or Doc?"* - It was explicitly said before this episode was released that DB would be using the "og" cast; meaning, the team's members by Season 1, and since Sister, Wash, Doc and other members of either team only joined up in later seasons, they were not included whereas Tex was assigned to the Blue team in early Season 1 so she counts. Not to mention Sister and Doc aren't really part of one of the two teams ("Doc's purple for a reason") while Washington only joined after the Reds and Blues made up and started working together meaning he wouldn't have a definitive place on either team as well. *3)* 12:59 - *"How did you implement Tex's programming to always ultimately fail? Basically, if Caboose and Tucker weren't so strong and skilled, respectively, would Tex have been enough to carry Blue team to victory?"* - The team went with the idea that even if Tex finds some win, it's always going to be tinged with some failure (i.e. failing to save a Blue, killing an enemy only to be ironically wounded, etc). Tex being programmed to fail does not at all mean she can't win fights (proven in the show where she _repeatedly_ wins fights with ease), it's just that any ultimate goal is just out of her reach, which is where the other Blues (specifically combat-capable ones like Caboose and Tucker) pick up where she'd leave off and finish it for her, which is what essentially happens in the animation. *4)* 15:57 - *"Why did Caboose's voice sound different"* - Uh, different VA obviously? The team _did_ approach Joel about voicing Caboose here, but they ended up having to give the role to a different VA, Michael (same name as the character, weirdly enough) who did a fine enough job filling the shoes for such an iconic character. *5)* 17:32 - *"Why didn't you mention how smart Grif actually is or how Lopez actually hates the Reds?"* - Simply put, they didn't have time to explicitly mention _everything_ about each character (not to mention Simmons is generally the brains of the Reds anyway while Grif by and large a lazy-ass who doesn't apply his intelligence nearly as often). However, Lopez hating the Reds wasn't stated because it was explicitly shown in the fight animation; when Sarge is facing Tex, Lopez very explicitly aims his sniper rifle at _Sarge_ rather than the Blue he's fighting, being interrupted from taking the shot by Grif knocking him over and then Tucker engaging him in a one-v-one, so saying his hate for the Reds had to be said is moot when it's literally shown clear as day in the animation. The idea that Death Battle's fight animation are purely dumb action is just incorrect, as there are plenty of instances in which the animation does showcase a character's personality quirks as well as their abilities (i.e. Edward Elric getting triggered by being called short, Beerus recognizing and enjoying a fight with a worthy foe, Balrog being a dirty cheater in official boxing matches, Shazam not being as mature/skilled of a fighter as actually adult combatants, etc) even if it is sublte and/or miniscule. *6)* 25:07 - *"Since Spartans percieve time a lot slower than normal people, wouldn't Simmons' 4-second changing feat actually be **_even_** faster?"* - Sadly, no, as there's no indication that the Reds and Blues underwent the same superhuman augmentation that the Halo Spartans have that decreased their perception of time's rate, they just wear futuristic armor. Even Tex wouldn't fall under this since it's her A.I., not any superhuman augmentations (remember, she herself is an A.I. inhabiting a robot suit that just resembles the armor that the Reds and Blues wear) that the Spartans experienced. Still an impressive feat for Simmons, though. *7)* 25:58 - *"Didn't the Blues just win by dumb luck with that grenade? That hardly seems fair. Would Caboose have been able to defeat Sarge in a one-on-one fight?"* - First off, as has been said *_repeatedly_* the fight animation has nothing to do with the actual research, so using it for any argument on who would win is dumb. Secondly, although the ending may have felt "cheap", the fact of the mattter is that the crew wanted the fight to feel like it was actually a fight from Red VS Blue... which inherently and automatically means that there's gonna be somesilly and/or comedic elements that might seem unfitting in a typical Death Battle, and Sarge being killed by a grenade teleported extremely late after Tucker threw it through the teleporter before the fight even officially started is well included in that. Not to mention that despite Sarge's far more extensive experience and better combat skill, the crew agree that Caboose's *_far_* superior physical strength would be enough to overwhelm and beat Sarge in a one-on-one, especially considering that Sarge has already been weakened by his unfavorably one-sided fight with Tex while Caboose hadn't even taken a scratch since the fight's beginning which would've made him more fit and healthy anyway. That, and it feels incredibly out of character for Caboose to intentionally beat and kill an opponent anyway, especially since people were already disturbed by Tex brutally snapping Grif's neck which _is_ in character for her, so having Caboose and Sarge's confrontation go the same route would be even more off-the-wall. *8)* 28:52 - *"This feels more like Red VS Blue than Red VS Blue: Zero does, how come the writers of this episode aren't writing the new RvB season?"* - There's a difference between writing one short, one-off team fight that is _almost_ (but not quite) a joke episode and writing a full season of episodes with full-on character arcs, extended dialogue and character interactions, themes, multiple fight scenes and sufficient story running all throughout. Secondly, the writers of this fight *_are the SAME writers_* of Zero, and Red VS Blue: Zero is intended to be something new and different from the 15+ seasons of the Red VS Blue show that has its legacy heaped onto it now. Of course a Death Battle all about the characters and elements from the old Red VS Blue are going to feel more like og Red VS Blue than the new Zero, _that's literally the _*_ENTIRE POINT._* All they're really asking is to just give it a chance, unlike the Reds and Blues mercilessly killing each other in an alternate universe where they _didn't_ just stand around and talk.

Yeah, I agree. Wiz would be writing down research on a small notepad, Dummy would be making a virtual slideshow of research (comic books, tv shows, etc.) and Boomstick would be holding a bottle of beer and laughing while drunk. As well as for the extra detail being a pile of beer bottles behind them, or the usual Death Battle room we see them be in.

@@scatman786 Actually it was a ten megaton bomb, not that it actually matters. I’m assuming when the bomb went off that sent them to a new location the armor basically just sucked up all the damage done to them and threw them in a different location. combining the force of the warthog driving at the speed it went from the cliff combined with tank shot blowing them out of the air caused the warthog to flip and crash, probably snapping simmon’s spine in the process as he was jerked around while holding onto the warthog turret. When the car flipped he didn’t let go until the car had hit the ground, so he would’ve also hit his head along with a snapped spinal cord. (You can see him flopping to the ground.) I’m not a freaking scientist, take what I say with a grain of salt but this is my best guess

It was explicitly said that the bomb's explosion was combined with a weather machine Lopez was wearing (plot) and caused the explosion to become an instant-lasting time portal that send the Reds and Blues into the future rather than obliterating them (besides Church who was sent to the past because the bomb was in his body). They never actually took 50 megatons, and in fact that's a huge outlier even if it did happen since they regular get pummeled into submission by fighters like Tex, Meta and Carolina who _never ONCE_ display even 0.001% of that 50 megaton-level power. Not to mention that the animation is for entertainment purposes only (yes, despite what fools like Ink Tank try to say otherwise) and has nothing to do with the research, so using it for arguing why one side should win is moot and dumb anyway.

What are you talking about? She normally doesn't speak much in fights anyway (heck, her arguably most famous fight scenes - when she took on the Reds + Tucker - had her not say a word the entire time). if anything, having her speak would be weird since she's the most serious soldier there.
