Great vid comparison was much needed. I think what looks best really depends on the color of the car. For the m3 versions of these lights the smoked version's lens color of the turn signal and brake is too white for me (light is red, lens is white). The outer lenses are also clear not smoked at all, it's just the inner housing is black (as far as I can tell). Calling them smoked is a bit misleading and some of the marketing pics are even worse. I prefer OEM+ or closer to actual real GTS which is a smoked red/dark red. To get what I was looking for I ended up getting the red version and a light smoke tint + blackline reverse light kit from Golden Wrench. Applied the black line kit before the overall tint. Very happy with the results and stands out from other VLAND tail lights. Something to consider!

Honest question, would it make sense to get the red ones and then either put a tint film or a spray on the red ones that way if you want you can always take it off and change it back to red? Because it seems like all the internal lights are the same exact color so putting a smoked film on would make it look exactly like the smoked ones and then you have the option to take the tint off if you want.

I would say driving lights about the same. Brake lights look slightly brighter on the red ones and the blinkers look slightly brighter on the black line. Only issue I have is my car is also white and I still can’t decide what I prefer. The black ones go nice with the white car, but the reds look a little more OEM. 🤔

not a very good demo in the sun with your camera settings. you need to turn down the white balance.

Your brake light on the trunk is not working. You have to wire them together even if your car is lci I think. Still a pretty easy fix.

My exterior is black, rims are dark, so I guess if I have smoked one install it would be too much dark, I guess red one fit more better on black exterior

1:59 legit lol at "I don't know how many M drivers use their turn signals". 🤣 This comment tracks, for sure. Statistically speaking, most M drivers I meet think turn signals are optional, the Earth is flat and Transformers was a documentary. So there's that. And that's coming from a BMW owner.

I’m having the same dilemma bro. Glacier Metallic Silver 328i, but not sure if the red or black would look better. Especially since the red is darker already. I do have the bumper reflectors replaced with the smoked already and maybe with the addition of adding blacked out logo’s and badge it would work. I can’t decide!
