I saw the movie before I read the book - and although I've reread the book another time, I can't stop rewatching the movie and/or everything related to it, again. Apparently I'm not the only one so obsessed. And so far, the laughter and tears arise just as strongly on the umpty-ump time as the first. Thank you for sharing your reaction.

Like Valentines Day is Couples New Years, my birthday is Me New Years, etc. they're all fresh starts!! Also, just finished the reaction and it was such a fun time! Sadly no 2nd book in the works :'( btw Casey uses They/them pronouns!

Thanks for the reaction. Glad you liked it and got all the feels. She has written 2 other books since this. Here 4th comes out next August....but none are a sequal. We all are praying another film. We need more of those two being in love

There may be a second book in the works but I've heard nothing definite so far. There is the collectors' edition of the book with an extra chapter from Henry's viewpoint, where he gives info on what happened since the end of the original story. (I haven't read that.) Also a couple of deleted scenes floating around on KZbin worth seeing. Also the blooper reels and interviews, including the director, the intimacy coordinator, and the person who composed the incidental music. Amazon held the movie to just two hours (and it would seem a series was out of the question), so a lot had to be left out. A number of reactors complain but considering every minute added means a minute of what is there would have to be cut. I'm sure what had to be left out was very painful for all involved, who clearly just loved and respected the book, and tried to do it justice.

I liked your reaction… and I saw fans on Twitter say how Alex and Henry got married and became girl dads. I got the Collector’s Edition for the Henry chapter. They become sooo domesticated, doing chores. We really need and deserve a sequel so I can give my imagination a rest 🙂

Call me a romantic, but I genuinely love this movie; this along with Heartstopper and Young Royals, helped me come to terms with my bisexuality. I’ve read the book, the collection edition, and I’ve seen the deleted scenes which were amazing. I’m so excited for the sequel that’s coming!! Now all we need is a Broadway-West End bound musical. I want to commend you on getting the sound levels correct with this video. Too many reaction videos have the movie level too low and the reactioner's voice level too loud. The levels here were perfect! You really should do more gay themed movie reactions if there are any out there that you haven't seen. I'd definitely watch! 👍
