My son-in-law is a deputy and he will be working Memorial Day. Thank you for including the men and women who serve in law enforcement. Many businesses offer discounts to military personnel, but rarely do they include law enforcement! Too often they are taken for granted or vilified until their services are needed. Hi Miss Becky! Thanks for all of your posts, everyone needs a reminder to know and practice our faith. This dessert that you made with fruit and cream cheese sounds absolutely delicious. I make a similar dish, made with a large container of vanilla yogurt and 1 regular size box of vanilla pudding mix. You whip them together, until the pudding mix is incorporated. Next you fold in a tub of Cool Whip. Then you fold in your fruit. I do not know where I got the recipe, but it is very popular in my area. I am in RI. If someone knows the name of the recipe could you please share it? We just call it "the fruit dessert", and I am asked regularly to bring it to gatherings. You can get creative, using different pudding mixes and and fruits. It's like a parfait. For the Fourth, I make a flag design with the fruit, yummy 🤗

Miss Becky, I love your approach to cooking. I truly believe that our spirit of love is reflected in everything we do. ❤ I, just like you, would rather use the natural things that The Father has already provided rather than use the chemical stuff a factory has put together. When it comes to whipped cream, I make it with the heavy whipping cream, caster sugar (plain white sugar but I grind it a little finer in the food processor) vanilla and a little unflavored gelatin powder. Using the gelatin powder stabilizes it and keeps it from weeping (getting watery). It's incredible how wonderful it works. I get it at Walmart. Also, a little powdered milk really helps too. 😊 God bless you, my sister in Christ, you are an absolute blessing.

I have the ingredients in my fridge! I must try this. Thank you ❤ Most people don’t realize that Fat Free things contain more sugar to replace the flavor that was lost when the fat was removed. Cool Whip and margarine are both very unhealthy. I no longer buy either. The only reason I justify their use is for an alternative for people with lactose intolerance. On that note, those who are lactose intolerant, or vegan, can also check out coconut cream as a whipped cream substitute! God Bless and Happy Memorial Day! 🇺🇸

Looks delicious. Yum. For a nice treat, try spreading meatloaf mix in a sheet cake pan, and cutting it up into squares that you can serve on your dinner rolls. Cheese is nice on them square burgers. Better than White Castle in my opinion. God bless you.

I usually use just a little bit of regular sugar to sweeten it a wee but but I'm going to try the powdered sugar instead. I crave sweets. You inspired me to make a blueberry cheesecake smoothie. Dumped plain yogurt, poured few oz whipping cream, couple of Tbl cream cheese, 1 c blueberries, drizzle raw honey, vanilla, and stivia. Not cheesecake but close enough. More on sour side than sweet but just enough cheesecake flavor to be the after taste.

I have a great recipe to add to this, if anyone is interested. You can either purchase or make one large angel food cake. Freeze the cake, so it will be easier to cut in layers, if you'd like. Mix 1lb cream cheese (2 8oz boxes, and don't use low fat cream cheese, or it won't set up) with 1 lb. of powered sugar, then fold in 1 lb (2 8 oz cartons, not the light or low fat) and 1 tsp of Real Vanilla extract. Cut your cake in 2 or 3 layers, and ice with the cream cheese frosting. Let this set in your refrigerator overnight or at least 6 hours before serving. Chill a can of cherry pie filling with it. When ready to serve, pour the can of cherry pie filling over the top of the cake and let it run down the center and sides of cake. Make sure your serving plate is a little bigger than the cake to accommodate the pie filling. (If you don't like cherry, you can use strawberry or blueberry, or fresh or frozen berries that you have cooked with sugar and cornstarch on top of the stove. I have been making this for my family for over 30 years, and they still ask for it for their Birthday cake. A great summer cake! And, the frosting pipes beautifully, if you would like to decorate it! Addendum: I also have another great summer mango pie recipe, if anyone would like to try it. It's my husband's favorite pie! Just let me know!
