Absolutely love my Duke GP. Mine came with the quick shifter and tech pack already installed from the dealer. Got it with 1 mile so wasn’t a previous owner thing. Some say the quick shifter is finicky but i have had zero issues with it smooth as butter at all rpm’s just a bad ass machine

I have a new r..there are no downsides..it's interesting but I used to get backache on my fazer, and you'd think on this little thing with it's rock hard seat it would be awefull after an hour or two. but not a bit of it, I could ride for days no problem..all it needs is a screen just to take the edge off the air pressure at high speeds, and that's on its way..the perfect bike in my opinion

Another great review. One thing that always bothered me was the silencer which seems to have been squashed the wrong way making the foot peg bracket stick out in a particularly ugly way. I want to turn it 90 degrees. Oh, and I love the bike.

Many thanks Ian, appreciate it and glad you liked the review. I actually quite like the squashed end of this exhaust! Just seems to flow with the lines of the bike, but just personal preference I suppose. Such a brilliant fun bike 👌
@kirkdunn13792 жыл бұрын
yeah the quick shifter isn't as good as other bikes from what I've heard.....i have the 890 R and its missed quite a few times, i don't really use it much if just cruising around....the suspension haven't quite found a good setting yet, seems there maybe too much rebound dampening while helps in holding a line extremely well doesn't offer a ton of bump compliance....still working on it.......faster more aggressive i ride it the better it seems.....tried comfort setting and front was just way too soft for how strong the front brake is.... TRACK mode really throws power down and pretty much ride in it full time, and Brembo brakes are incredibly strong....almost a bit too much maybe for some, though i love strong brakes.....even the rear has a lot of bite....the weight, handling, and motor are fantastic....the low end torque into mid-range in track mode is just incredible....i live in lower rpms, short shift and use the torque......ill take others word for how good this bike is Cuz its my first street bike though m very familiar with KTM offroad and MX bikes......kind of the same ironically....good brakes, motor, handling but suspension is kind of ok but not great coming from off road world still though an awesome bike with strange front head light
@redangrevival2 жыл бұрын
Haha summed up in one, an awesome bike with strange front light!!! It is the best middle weight naked bike in my opinion, love the torque, love the strong brakes. Shame about the quick shifter but I have heard it can vary per bike. I suppose the suspension is a little more tricky because of individual differences. At the end of the day it is a focused sports bike so will naturally be on the stiffer side. Cheers

I dunno. I ended up with a 2022 890gp. I really wanted an 890r at the time but there were none available within a few hrs drive and noone knew when any more were coming. I did bust the rear shock quickly as I live down a dirt road thats pretty rough and I outweigh the factory rider settings by alot. Ended up with a ktech adjustable rear shock and will be going to the Matris carts up front. The rottweiler rotor kit and 1290 brembo calipers/17rcs corsa corta and its better off than the R. I understand the WP Apex on the R model really isnt all that great, no preload setting and very little spring selection. If you want it right, you need carts and a shock.
