What the.....Uh...Oh-Kay. Is there a reason why you made this knife the way it is, or were you just winging it? I mean design-wise, it's appearant that you have the attention to detail that would make you a good master bladesmith and I Loved watching you really pound out the ultra fine details of this knife. Your Handle is Amazing, just a suggestion, far be it form me to do so but as my eye would like to see the bottom length of the handle narrower in diameter than the top length, this, I feel, would increase the comfort of the handle in the hand, other than that you made it in a way I wish ALL knife makers would make their handles. Honestly, you are up there with Kyle Royer with your attention to detail. and as far as the pins are concerned why not leave them protruding lightly from the rest of the assembly? I have ALWAYS loved it when knife makers leave the pins of the handle slightly proud of the handle material as it offers more tactile stimulus when holding the knife. certainly a flush pin has it's appeal but it doesn't always have to be that way. Overall, I love this build I just am a bit perplexed as to its purpose, or the reasoning behind it. Even if it was a modern take on a traditional shape that a mythical people had for their ceremonial dagger etc. or something behind it. Fantasy knife challenge with an actual fantasy story behind it would make it even cooler and give the knife a reason for it's unusual shape and design. SO Hit me wit it Guvna!
@RedBeardOps2 жыл бұрын
I agree on the handle dimensions. Thank you greatly for the praise on the details of this knife! I agree with the pins for sure! Probably should of domed those with light peening. On the design I just kinda let my mind run wild... My head wanted to make something that didn't make sense! I think that's accomplished. I envision sending this knife back in time about 1500 years to an evil warlord. Imagine the fear he could put into the hearts of his advisories with a perplexing weapon like this. Even if it was just used for executions, that would be enough to command dread. lol - Cheers!
