A guy at work just informed me that you are local. Somehow I have never watched any of your videos. Subbed, and watching through all the videos. Just bought me a go kart to mess with. I previously did a minibike, and flipped it....literally...flipped and sold.

I didn't think I would ever see another one! My brother and I built a side car for our 4 hp CAT mini bike we had back in the early 70's! We made it out of wood and used the wheel and axle from an old outboard motor dolly, then drilled the frame and bolted it on. We had soooo much fun with it . At the time I was 12 and my brother was 14.

Back when I was a kid, I used to play around with go karts but not to the extent (welding/fabrication were not on the table) that you guys do - I would have dreamed of going to a place like Go Power Sports to shop through all the parts, having nearly anything I could need would have blown my mind!

That is a very cool build I have learned a lot from all ur projects I got my nephew a Gokart for Xmas last year for free pulled it out of the weeds every thing on it was froze up on it from the front wheels to the live axle it had a five HP Briggs on it with out carb or gas tank but we still gave it a shot took it home fixed a carb and a tank for it primed the carb with gas and pulled it a few times and it came alive long story short after a little work we got to ride its amizen how much fun a kid can have on a kart I would love to have the help from go power sports to do a lot more to it for him because money is so tight thanks for the vids

Hey Pennypincher put a pivoting bar level across from the frame to the box on the side car. Then it will stay at the same angle as the bike. I built a sidecar that leaned with the bike to carry my kid around worked awesome. You won't need the spring with this setup. I put the tire under the passenger with a spring and swing arm. You won't need to do that for it to work better then it is now

I think the easiest way to pull a governed is to take the fly wheel off and take a fillips Jean and a hammer and tap the shaft out then just putting a 1/4 in bolt in it
