@Andrew Wasson - I agree %100, the main reason I watch Red Beards Garage is because of one simple fact. I learn tons of small details about building engines that are very important but other channels never tell you this information. Red Beard does not leave out anything, you get the smallest of details and that is what has helped me the most. With just what knowledge I've learned from this channel alone I've been able to cut down my build times significantly, while creating a better finished product in the process. So thank you Red Beard and my son and I really enjoy watching your videos.

@Red Beard's Garage - The main reason I watch your channel is because of one simple fact. I learn tons of small details about building engines that are very important. For some reason all of the other channels will never tell you this information. It is almost like they purposely leave it out because they don't want you to be able to build anything or repair it yourself! Red Beard does not leave out anything, you get the smallest of details and that is what has helped me the most. With just what knowledge I've learned from Red Beard and this channel I've been able to cut down my build times significantly, while creating a better finished product in the process. For future reference you can use mag wheel cleaner on any aluminum surfaces and we'll clean it up very well. Especially porous casted blocks that tend to hold in a lot of that extra grime. So again try out some mag wheel cleaner

Toyota makes 300hp out of 3cyl 1.5l engine, So 500cc per 100hp or 1cylinder per 100hp. I know math doesn't work like that but. With enough mod a 500cc honda gx engine should be able to get 50-60hp i hope. They are making 25hp out of 5hp engine. So they should be able to make 60hp out of 12hp engine!.

I know the video is old, but you can breathe new life into your plastics with a heat gun or torch. It's isn't perfect, but close enough. The dent in the gas tank could also be persuaded with an aor compressor. Drain fuel, seal tank, add air. Start small. 30psi is a good starting point. Slowly add from there. Use a wood block with some leather attached to the impact area to knock down any high spots. Sometimes its best to repair over replace. Especially items that get the snot beat out of it. A boys toys are expensive enough.

I want to build a swing arm for my china scoot, and put one of these on it,. I already got a extra front rim to bolt a sprocket to, being the rear has the brake drum and no bearings, that's what you need, a set if 10". Or 12" maybe 13" scooter rims and tires, well a set of front rims, The 80 cc big bore just ain't enough, being 6'5" and over 300, I need more power, A 224 with ported head, cut it for about 200psi compression, it should make plenty, I'd want to keep the revs down a bit, and keep it quiet, to sneak around as a 50cc scooter, use a stock motorcycle muffler maybe!...

Please excuse my ignorance here if you will but my understanding of these engines is that they're racing engines I believe, similar to the new racing engine that HF is now offering, not sure. My question is are these engines better suited for high rpm racing rather than low speed torque for messing around in the dirt and hill climbing or do they have enough low end grunt to out perform a stock Predator 212 say on a go kart or mini bike in the woods? That's what I like to do, play in the woods and climb hills, not as interested in top speed necessarily.
