I liked the straight forward approach you took to the tutorial. I have to say though, Element 3D is soooooo much better and faster than this C4D Lite business. Having to go back and forth and back and forth must be infuriating after a while.

It would probably be a better result! I was trying to accomplish this without having to buy any other plugins and use only the ones included with After Effects. But if you have the cash to spend, Element is probably the way to go :)

I think you're confused. 'Rotoscoping' is any manually keyframed mask, which is what he used. (Unless you're talking about Rotobrush.)

Roto tool is less accurate and element 3D cost more money. I was trying to see how far I could go with just After Effects included plugins :)
