It’s actually pretty odd to see how the cars have such tiny tires on the dirt stages. On the asphalt they have bigger tires that look more proportional, but those off-road tires are so small

Actual tyre diametre is not that different, the suspension is set far lower on tar, and the low profile tyres/big rims look bigger.

The tires are the same size as the tarmac ones. Of course the rim is definitely smaller, and the sidewalls are taller. The lack of grip in loose surfaces means they can use smaller brake discs, thus they can fit a smaller rim and taller sidewalls to help the suspension with big impacts. The wheels in this video look small just due to the massive suspension travel, and the perspective.
