You gotta give Flearock some respect for even being able to compete on this stage at his age. How many of these high flying youngsters are still going to be active in their 30's? Flearock maybe did get a little carried away with the burns, but I don't think it was as lopsided a battle as people make out. There's more to the dance than explosive freezes and tricky transitions. Throughout his time dancing with Skill Methodz they showed that you don't have to have 2 minute rounds with 100 moves packed in to win.

@@KanoOneThree "He's cocky and can't deliver" could be said of most American breakers. At least, that's the impression that I get watching them compete internationally. Rather than having original moves and refreshing styles, they just bust out the basics and then try to intimidate the opponent as their battle tactic. Look at Jinjo vs. Squadron at Battle of the Year 2021 as an example. I used to look down on this more, but you have to take into account that modern American breakers are products of the original roots of breaking, which is to say the slums of America, and it was very adversarial. Flea Rock is a product of that too. Other countries that got into breaking because the dance visually appealed to them don't usually have this dynamic. I agree that Flea Rock wasn't setting the world ablaze with his sets, but the guy's doing 3-round sets 1v1 against guys that are half his age and in peak physical condition. I'll still give him credit for that. All of those other older dancers you mentioned, if they are still competing, are only taking part in crew battles, from what I see of them. Most of them tour with BC One All-stars. Taisuke is another I can think of who's retired from solo breaking. But group battles are a little more forgiving because you have longer to rest and only have to go out once, maybe twice each round.

Hong 10 is damn near 40 and not too long ago he did a 1vs I think 10 event. And after hearing Flea Rocks interview, he had the nerve to say Amir was repeating after this mf crashed a headspin lmao. I heard Kaku yell "Dios Mio" from the crowd. It reminded me of Ronnie vs Gravity, Gravity crack-rocked smoked Ronnie out of his shoes, but some of the comments are "He's a red bull finalist, how many times has Gravity won?" Age and accolades dont matter as no one is forcing Flea to compete. If you got smoked, you got smoked, and that's what happened here.
