Lawson only has a couple of races under his belt and is relatively close in performance...

He probably would've gotten the seat, if Honda permanently departed F1 and not come back to partner with Aston. Because of this, RB no longer has faith that Yuki won't switch to Aston after Alonso retires. Yuki's real problem now will be to find a seat for 2026

The other thing is Yuki has only ever beaten De vries and Riccardo as his teammates, both of which were not true representatives. When Lawson came in he challenged yuki, Singapore 2023 for example. Yuki is not only a honda backed driver but I don't think he's done enough with his time. Lawson had barely any time and still made a bigger impact

As much as Yuki is deserving of the seat, I'm pumped to see if Liam can take the pressure and push himself forward. With the grid lineup being so stacked, the teams likely expectation would probably be P8. Especially with how hard of a time red bull has had staying competitive against other teams. Sure Max can always drag the car up where it doesn't belong, but I hope Liam can at least always be best of the rest, and maybe even pop in a surprise or two throughout the season

Yuki is a Honda driver, with strong ties to them. With Honda and Red Bull parting ways after the 2025 season, chances are pretty high that Tsunoda will leave the RB group and follow Honda, either to Aston Martin or to other racing series outside of F1 (Indycar, Endurance racing?).

I hope he fails dismally and gets swapped with Yuki, who has comprehensively beaten not just Lawson, but every teammate he has had. Lawson is slow and unlikeable. He does not in any way deserve the Red Bull seat as he has done nothing to impress and much to alienate fans as he seem to be on a mission to be the least liked driver in F1.

Yuki is backed by Honda. Honda will no longer supply engines to Red Bull from 2026 onwards. Therefore there is no future for Yuki at Red Bull. And as long as Stroll stays, there is no real future for him elsewhere either. Also Yuki hasn't show any signs of brilliance in years of driving. Lawson only has a couple of races under his belt and is relatively close in performance...

lawson was a short notice rookie vs yuki.. I think red bull can transpose these results to what would happen when lawson has a normal prep and normal chance to get experience in the car. Also someone said that lawson was much faster in the sim, I didnt see that reported though

I think this is the worst mistake RB has ever made...... Liam did NOTHING to prove he can handle that redbull seat. NOTHING AT ALL.... what a disgrace to yuki. i was a big fan but this is just to bad. u lost a fan with this. i lost all my respect for that toxic team. i Hope yuki will give u the finger and leave before the season starts
