It was in the 1960s and 1970s and early eighties. I Always loved it although it was a long journey from Oxford. We would travel by South Midland and then get on the United from Victoria from London to Middlesbrough later we travelled by car

The funny thing is the buildings over the road from the shore have burried levels indicating that the street levels have risen.mudfloods .

might have been useful to give addresses for the buildings. The Jolly Sailor pub for example, was it on the seafront, bus station end?

1:43 Dr. Horners Hydropathic Establishment. Do any photos exist of this building as Oliver Whales' Fun City? Either when in operation, or standing forlorn after closure. (Which is how I remember it).

The old William Turner's is still there. ..now home to Redcar ABC

The Sir William Turners grammar school was demolished and moved into a new building that later became Saltscar school. The ABC is in the extension that was built later. There a foundation stone on the outside along from the doorway. The only part of the original grammar school is the wall alongside Coatham Road.

@@Nervejam Kirkleatham Hall was demolished in the 1950’s. Kirkleatham School was renovated and opened as a museum in the early 1980’s as Kirkleatham old hall. What other buildings are still there in the video?

@@bt542000 no, the Alexander Hotel became the Pig & Whistle before it was demolished to make way for Morrisons car park. They still have the original stained glass door with Alexander Hotel on it at their new location on Station Road.
