Just a heads up, with wider hexes you will no longer be able to use the plastic lug caps. It takes up too much of the shaft. Also if you go wider than 8 or 9 mm, you will run out of threads and will need a steel shaft extender. You can get an even wider offset and look. Most 12 or 15 mm come with them in the pack but are slightly more expensive.

@@comeandtakeit5709 unfortunately not... you run out of threads and can't get the caps on. If you buy a kid with shaft extensions you can. The 11mm kit has extentions.

You can also try swapping out wheels and tires. Well that’s a must on this truck. Cheap aluminum beadlocks actually have an offsets that pushes the wheels slightly outward clearing this issue. And you won’t need a center cap and will not run out of threads

Widening the wheel base may also make it rub on the inside corner of the wheel well on full turns.. I kno I did the 8mm upgrade on my trx4 n it rubs..

I don’t understand how you pulled it off so easy. I tried like hell to get mine off my axe edition earlier I even used pliers. They wouldn’t budge.

Yeah, they were actually pretty tight. I had to pry slightly. I had pulled the hex off previously to make it easier for the video. Still struggled with the camera.

Will these work on the Gen 7 pro?

I'm not sure. I think so. If the Gen 7 has 12mm wheel hexes they should work. Gen 7 is straight axle, not portals, but that shouldn't make a difference.

I'm everywhere! Haha. I personally think adding some weight down low has made the biggest difference. Weighted wheels and brass. Greatly improves crawling.
