I really like my Gen 9. I just put a Fusion SE (1800kv) in it tonight. It definitely enhances the crawling ability and control to a large degree. BTW, nice video! Your Gen 9 looked great. It looked very capable, and sure footed, out there on that beautiful Trail!

Nice vid! Redcat has the gen9 on sale for $225 for the month of September, so I'm gonna try one out. It will be my first 1/10 scale crawler, so I'm pretty excited!

I just ordered this from Amain on sale for $297.00. But then was watching this video and saw someone say $224.00. Good thing it was only a few minutes ago. I canceled the order, and just ordered it off redcat. Thanks for the video. I’ll be putting a couple GI Joe classified series figures in it. Probably not per scale but definitely needs a driver and passenger. And a dog! 🐕

I picked my on sale over Labor Day. $225.00 I’ve owned quite a few RTR’s is one for the price is killer. The first mods I did was Injora Aluminum rims and added brass rings to the front rims. Proline BFG mud terrain tires because they are a soft compound and look more authentic to what people use. Changed the rear shock oil to 50w. Crawled really good on the rocks last weekend. Next mod hobby wing 1080 controller. Maybe front overdrive gears.

Get the hobbywing 1080 g2 then you can control drag brake with the extra channel

I think the truck is scale one to 10. It’s like a 4 1/2 to 5 if you’re lucky.

Actually scale is off by quite a bit. The rig is built on a 12.3 wheel base chassis. Times that by 10 = 123 wheel base. The real Scout is only 100 inch wheel base.

Wheels look great on the car indeed as you said. Thing is, isnt the 1800kv an SE? The Pro is the 2300kv, right?

I have a pro that’s an 1800, not sure how long they made them but it looks identical to the 2300. I guess they stopped making them with the release of the Se

The slipper clutch in it was set up for a nutless motor.

I had the same issue. I tried to completely locked out tgr slipper and still had a problem. Ended up bieng the slipper plates

@@T1ORT1 sometimes I’ve found I need to sand the plates on RC cars to make them completely flat. Gives more surface area to contact the pad
