Great stuff, brother. I was actually going to dig through these tunes myself and then I found your videos. Saving me hours of transcribing…thank you!

I've just been watching all of Redd's Country Store performances, he's an amazing player. Thanks for doing these breakdowns. For a guitar obsessive like me, it is gold!

Just really good stuff. Volkaert has become my favorite as it is toe tapping, musical and both interesting and easy on the ears. So much appreciated and just did the PayPal for you. Great job and thank you.

Great description of his music, I can only agree! Thank you so much for the tip, that's a great motivator to make more of these! Let me know if you have any specific song you'd like to see!

@@TeiscoCurlee If I was to vote for another song, I would vote for the third song by Redd (Always late with your kisses... Floyd Country Store 2021) is pretty cool as it has that great jazzy western swing feel with nice solos. 2nd song is good also (all of his stuff is good). Thanks for the Dusty Hill tribute. Great job. What were you using for distortion? It sounded good. So many great ZZ Top tunes. Everything from their early stuff like Bar- B-Q, Brown Sugar and all of Tres Hombres are timeless classics. Great job.

@@joepassfan That's a great suggestion, like you say, it has that great jazzy swing feel to it, I'll keep it in mind for next months Redd video! Aw thanks man, very glad to hear. I was using both my ZT amps, the Lunchbox and Lunchbox Reverb, and a couple of DIY kit boost pedals, one clean boost that was always on and then I think I kicked in a treble booster for solos. It's a cool sounding little rig! Yeah, I gotta agree, ZZ Top is truly timeless, especially the early stuff. Thank you for your encouraging comments!

Petrus! Thank you very much. I discovered Redd V. only 6 months ago. You do great service to his work, spelling EVERYTHING out exactly as He played it. Your delivery is calm, clear, precise, and easy to understand. Thanks again for sharing your time, and incredible talent. JJZ…(°¿.°`)

I know this is an older video but I have a question that I hope you can answer. Do you know what kind of amplifier Redd is using? I've tried my best to figure it out but I'm not up on amplifier brands. Hey, great channel and awesome work. New subscriber!
@TeiscoCurlee8 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yeah I believe that's an old Sho-Bud Custom pedal steel amp. Solid state, 1x15, his might be modded in some way, I'm not sure. :)

Love your work Petrus! are you using the pignose in this video?
@TeiscoCurlee3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, glad you enjoy it! No here I'm using my Yamaha Thr10c, it's so handy because I use it for the laptop audio at the same time!
@Josh-sx7ir3 жыл бұрын
@@TeiscoCurlee nice! would you recommend this over the Pignose for a bedroom practice amp?
@TeiscoCurlee3 жыл бұрын
@@Josh-sx7ir It's comparing apples to oranges really, the Yamaha can do so many things really well, different sounds and effects as well as a lot of functions (use as audio interface and so on). The Pignose does just ONE thing pretty much, and I like that thing a lot but if you want different sounds you'll have to use pedals. Basically, if you're a Pignose fan, go with that, but if you want a good allround home amp, go with something like a Yamaha which can sound good and distorted at low volumes. Hope that helps!
