11:03 You say to look for someone who is already smiling. I agree It's good to choose someone who is smiling already but something rare happened the other night... I seen a guy in a bar with a cigarette in his beanie cap and his girlfriend had her phone out and had this "leave me be" look on her face, so I borrowed her boyfriends cigarette and did my impromptu cigarette magic for him. She started watching and when I made it vanish and reappear a few times, she was amazed and her demeanor turned from bored to WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED!? and was so happy to see what I just did. It was one of the best reactions I ever got from a spectator! It was a great moment and felt so good to brighten up her day... I LOVE your reaction videos so much! I learn a lot from you. @@lpbarden What might work, if you keep that idea, is to add more before the bite. First, sniff, then lick, then bite before spitting it out. It is how most people deal with new food. Also probably would want to change the title to something "I wonder how it tastes..." if you're spitting it out. If you're not, what would be cool is if you could eat the entire cord before looking extremely content. But cool trick either way.

Jey! Really nice execution if you started. I think it is my favorite change because so many things can be done by modifying it. Also to add to Chris' justification tip. Don't use a little a cardistry flourish when you're just showing that you have 3 aces, or a little twirl to show the spectators card going into the middle of the deck. As soon as you do it breaks down effect. If they pick out the 3 of clubs and as they give it back to you that card is shuffled around your hands before being inserted into the deck then no one will belive that card is lost. They've just seen you spin a card around on your knuckles before bouncing it off your elbow landing it in the middle of the deck, so they're not going to impressed when the next thing you do is show them the 3 on top.

The added bonus of the card to mouth double lift is that it also uses misdirection because most people will be looking at the card in his mouth, so it's much easier to hide what's really happening. You could even do the classic cutting a melon or loaf of bread in half for the reveal.

I wonder how long “new to cardistry” person has actually been at it... I really did just start down the rabbit hole myself last week. I can do a couple of onehanded cuts, flick a card from one hand to the other (flicking it is easy... catching it cleanly is hard...) and sort of do a thumb fan... along with a pirouette but that’s about it.

It went off the table onto his lap. So did the second one. Sweeping the last one off was, in my opinion, the cleanest. I'm not a magician, but I've been watching so much of this during the Rona, I'm getting better at spotting things.

@TheBroken1804 жыл бұрын
I do agree with Chris that all your mechanics have to be justified and that the using what I assume is a lateral palm to pull the card out of the middle looks fishy. HOWEVER I think there’s a huge benefit to the guys idea, the visual of the card going in the middle. With a simple double lift then put the top card in the middle, the only downfall is you can’t SHOW their card going in the middle (obviously) it’s a nice subtlety that this guys control let’s the spectators SEE there card (very briefly) go in the middle. I love the idea, it does look fishy. But I think with a little practice and tweaking it would be a cool idea! (I’m not great with mechanics these are just my thoughts!!)
