Video @ 19:00 “In a hot car” - Not just for the reason for the sensor possibly overheating, but ALSO for the lenses ! - If overheated, the lubricants will break down and likely begin to ‘outgas’ (fumes cause fog/haze to form on the coatings/glass).

Great show guys , in reference to the most popular digital Leica , when not using my M10-D and I want a screen I'm still using my M-P240 Safari which I love , I'm tempted to get the 50mm safari edition lens which is in my local Leica shop to go with it .keep up the good work

Hello, I am currently on holiday in Istanbul with my recently acquired secondhand 24-90. It squeaks quite loudly when zooming quickly! Never seen this mentioned on any reviews of this lens. Has anyone seen this before, is it a serious problem, should I keep using it? Trying to get a quick answer via this community. Thanks, Pete.

Guys thank you for all the information as always, I missed todays live forum but I do have a question about the M11, when I set up both raw and jpg I like having a jpg 18mgp in black and white, and raw at 60mgp but when I set this up both visoflex 2 and or screen stay in black and white, is there a way to make the screen or visoflex 2 color with that set up? Thank you

The visoflex or lcd only previews jpeg output image. Good idea that maybe Leica can provide such a feature in a future firmware update

For my first Leica, I'm debating between the M10-R and the M11. Retail (new) they appear to cost the same, and I've read about some pros/cons of each. Curious what the general consensus would be as far as a recommendation? I do like the M11 non-baseplate, USB, custom function buttons, but hesitant about "needing" 60MP and curious about the electronic shutter blur issue. With the advances in perks added to the M11, would that offset any concerns about the blur?

The M11 no doubt. You can actually get M10R about 2000-3000 cheaper brand new with the right connection. If you dont mind the retail price brand new, M11 and not the M10R. M10R is a better choice if u like the old bottom plate, or want to get it used and suffer less of depreciation or if you do not mind the same price tag as a new M11. Battery life is way better on the M11, it also follows the user interface of the Q2 and Sl2. Also, the variable dng size and color rendition of the M11! You can disable electronic shutter anyways, and stick to the usual mechanical shutter only! You won't need super fast shutter speed and if you do, just slap on an ND filter or stop down.

Yeah, kinda felt uncomfortable watching this episode. David looks irritated. I don't blame him. Let David talk. I like listening to him along with Josh. Josh is like the over caffeinated one and David is the mellow one. It's a nice balance. And who cares if you don't get to all the questions, take your time!

What a waste of time. You're only taking softball questions such as "Will my SD card wear out?", which has nothing to do w/ Leica, and not addressing questions such as what is future of S system. Even if don't know the answer, at least acknowledge since it has real implications for people in the system or considering it.

Why consider is when the GFX100S exists? You don’t have to guess about its future and you’ll save $14,000.

@@carlosmcse Owned the GFX100S. Sold it. Uninspiring camera to shoot with, too clinical for my taste, and not well suited for landscapes given its resolution and aspect ratio, unless just taking photos of vistas, etc., w/o much foreground (or resorting to stacking). Much prefer images out of S system, but it would be nice to know if there's a roadmap. I mistakenly thought I might be able to get some insights here on ask me anything from the so called Leica experts :-(

@@RolandAyala Oh well. Sounds like what I found after moving from Fuji to the M. It’s like changed my world from 2D to 3D. Im not familiar with the S medium format. If the user base is strong they should continue it

​@@carlosmcse Yes, a very good analogy regarding GFX is to S as X is to M, in terms of both experience and output. Unfortunately, the S user base is not very strong because the system is overpriced. Still, the IQ is on a different level from what you'll get from the big four (S,C,N,F) and other Leica systems, for that matter, when considering IQ holistically (I.e., not just how many MP or how sharp the image). Highly recommend trying the S system if you get a chance. 9+ S lense can be had for about 1/2 price on FM & getdpi, and good deals can be had on S3 and even better an also excellent 007, when they pop up. Fingers crossed Leica comes through w/ an S4, as some rumors have indicated. If not, the S3 will hold its own in the IQ department for at least another 5-7 years given the images easy best what I'm getting out of my Z9. When IQ matters, I always reach for the S.

@@RolandAyala I know Gilden uses an S3 now all the time so, I doubt Leica is getting rid of the system.
