these swords are great for introducing new people into swordplay due to them being fairly cheap and surprisingly accurate. They even allow people to learn multiple swords with only a single trainer seeing as you can make a short sword into a bastard sword, effectively learning both one handed and two handed swords.
These are great for solo practice because if you’re in a quiet space, which I am never in because horrible city planning, You can hear the sound of a good swing. It should almost be like a whistle.
These are great for medium contact sparring, But heavy contact shouldn’t be something you look forward to with these as they will slip on each other and whip around.
These are extremely durable and pretty easy to fix if they do getting bent out of shape. Storing these you should keep them in a cool place lying down flat, or you can make a hanging system on the wall using some small rope to hang it from the cross guard, let in gravity straighten it out. If you leave it standing the blade will slowly warp.
That’s all the things that I can think to tell you, sorry I could not explain all of this in the video itself. Talking while listening to the cars roll past is just too much for me.
And if by chance if anyone at red dragon sees this: I am always excited win you allow more parts into the US. I would love to get my hands on a cutlass trainer using the messer blade and basket hilt.

Yes! These are good for solo drills to get a handle of edge alignment due to how loudly these things swing while the PurpleHeart Synthetics are generally better for sparring in terms of durability and being more realistic to a steel sword.

Looks promising for 75-80$. What's the blade and tang made from ?

It is a synthetic plastic with a giant screw 1/3rd way through the tang and blade. The top 2/3 of the blade is nice and flexible for safer sparing, though it does tend to take a set if you don’t store it right or abuse it a lot. Nothing you can’t fix though through bending it the other way.

Darn, on amazon it said the blade material is alloy steel so I was hoping it was a dull steel blade. But its actually nylon.

Oh major ooph. Hope you can return it! Buy you shouldn't really trust the general claim of "alloy steel" anyways. It could really mean anything which is terrifying- Specific number like 9160 carbon steel or 6150 spring steel is something you should see instead. If you're looking for good steel HEMA sword I recommend looking at Purpleheart Armory. Unless you're in europe, where you can go to Black Fencer. A good steel training sword will run you about $200
