One thing that I find Christians lack is the understanding of fellow Christians. From a young age we are just taught "oh they're different", but never taught *how* different. Learning the similarities and difference are imperative in reducing the rifts between us. Thank you for this unbiased and almost scientific comparison of the major Christian sects.

Yes I so agree. my grandmother studies in an online bible college and sometimes I listen in on her lessons because I also learn a thing or two. One time, I heard in her lessons that we shouldn’t be too legalistic or dogmatic, and we shouldn’t say things like “oh that person is not a real christian, they will go to hell” because they are in a different denomination. that is not for us to decide and we shouldn’t judge a fellow christian’s faith just because they happen to go to a different church

We must not be harsh on others nor judge one another. No matter your religion, God has a plan for you. Christ is love. Love yourself to love others. If you don’t love others, you do not love your self. Protestants spend a lot of time looking down on others, as Catholics we literally mean “in Union” so let us unite not cast differences. For the small bickering only leads others to sin and not to the Lord. Forgive others, and you will be able to forgive yourself.

@@Digitalsapien 1. Exodus 20:4 is part of the first commandment that begins in verse 3 and stretches through part of verse five: You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them or serve them. Verses 3 and 5 make clear that this commandment is not simply condemning making statues; It is condemning making gods that you bow down to or serve. In a word, this first commandment forbids idolatry, i.e., the worship of anything or anyone other than God. The Catholic Church condemns this as well. 2. By lifting out part of the first commandment appearing to prohibit the making of “any likeness of anything,” not only do you have God contradicting himself in later commanding the making of statues, but you also end up making the first two commandments repetitive. They are both essentially condemning idolatry. 3. Though the commandments are said to be “ten” in Exodus 34:28, they are not numbered by the inspired authors of Sacred Scripture. If you count the “you shall nots” along with the two positive commandments of keeping holy the Sabbath and honoring father and mother, you end up with 13 commandments. So the actual numbering of the commandments depends upon which “you shall nots” you lump together as one commandment and which ones you separate. And in the end, which “you shall nots” you lump together depends upon your theology. 4. We believe the Catholic Church alone has the authority to give to God’s people an authoritative list of the Ten Commandments. And the Catechism of the Catholic Church does exactly that. At least, it gives us a list as a sure norm for us. 5. The problem with creating a second “commandment” where there actually is not one really comes to the fore at the bottom of the list. The common Protestant listing of the Ten Commandments combines coveting your neighbor’s wife, the Catholic ninth commandment, with coveting your neighbor’s property, the Catholic tenth commandment. And really it just can’t be any other way because you run out of room. I can’t imagine many women being happy with being equated to property! Some may argue at this point: “Well, that is what the Old Testament teaches. We’re just going with what the inspired author teaches.” Are you really? Let’s take a look. Now, it is true that Exodus 20’s version of the 10 commandments appears to place both women and servants in the place of property. You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his manservant, or his maidservant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor’s. I say it seems because Genesis 1:26-27 does reveal God himself to have said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness… So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” There is an essential equality between male and female revealed even in the Old Testament, though this revelation is not as clear and unambiguous as what we have in the New Testament. Exodus 20 certainly does anything but add to the clarity of the point. When I say the revelation of this essential equality is not as clear in the Old Testament, we need to understand why this is so. The Old Testament consists of 46 books written over a period of ca. 1500 years, representing a progressive revelation. Hebrews 1:1-2 says, “In many and various ways God spoke of old to our fathers by the prophets.” The Greek word for “many ways” is polumeros, which means “in many portions;” God gave his revelation in piecemeal fashion over the centuries, taking an ancient people right where they were and gradually beginning to reveal more and more truth as they were able to receive it and as he gradually gave them more and more grace to be able to receive it, all the while respecting their freedom. “But when the time had fully come, God sent forth his Son…” (Galatians 4:4) to communicate the fullness of the revelation God willed for his people. For example, the divorce God permitted in Deut. 24:1-4, he later says “[he] hates” in Malachi 2:16. And when Jesus elevated marriage to the level of sacrament eliminating divorce and remarriage absolutely in Matt. 19:5-6, he explained that this allowance by God through Moses was never intended from the very beginning citing Genesis 2:24, “the two shall become one flesh.” God permitted things early that he would not have ever willed in an antecedent sense as he helped his people to grow much like a parent does not treat a four year-old the same as he would treat a fourteen year-old. In a similar way, though God revealed the essential equality of man and woman very early in salvation history (Gen. 1:26-27), this revelation was given by God to an ancient people who did not have the same understanding of the essential equality of man and woman we so often take for granted given the fullness of revelation we have enjoyed in the New Covenant for 2,000 years. God did not expect his people to change immediately, nor did he give them the fullness of the revelation that we have in Christ all at once; rather, he helped them along as we’ve said. In fact, we can see this development of understanding even in the Old Testament itself. We cited the earlier version of the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20, but notice the change by the time God gave his people Deuteronomy: Neither shall you covet your neighbor’s wife; and you shall not desire your neighbor’s house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox. Or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor’s. The inspired author of Deuteronomy now makes the distinction between wife and property sharper by using two different Hebrew words for “covet” and “desire” and by only using the word “covet” with regard to the wife. The two separate commandments now become undeniable.

I was atheist and having really bad anxiety and panic attacks. I called my old friend who is hardcore Christian and he asked how my relationship with God was. I thought it was silly, he said don't just pray tonight, pour your heart out to God. So I did it that night. I poured my heart out to God. I didn't want to make it about myself so I prayed for my other friend who is a bad alcoholic. About 30 minutes after I was done praying, at 2 a.m., that very friend called me up crying and his first words were "dude, I think I need to find God". I've been friends with him over 20 years, seen him rip up Bibles, and he's never spoke those words to me until 30 minutes after I prayed for him.

I was raised in the Church of Christ denomination in Texas. No music, calm preachers, everyone dresses up (apparently I disrespected God because I wore a hat inside the building once, and a t-shirt another time). They also sung mostly in monotone. One time I was caught tapping my foot during a song and was told that was a sin. I literally saw my church split over the use of music. There was a Sunday when a group of deacons stepped forward to resign and announce they were starting a new church with the only difference being it would play music. Half the congregation left with them. The youth minister took my youth group to a youth retreat an hour away over the weekend one time. We didn't know until we got there it was hosted by a baptist church. When we got back home, the youth minister got in trouble with the leadership and parents for "PUTTING THE SOULS OF OUR CHILDREN IN DANGER!!!". Because Church of Christ is the ONLY way to go to Heaven. Luckily, he wasn't let go. He was awesome and actually had an Xbox in the youth room and he'd invite high schoolers over to the church on Saturdays for Halo tournaments. The leadership was cool with this because it was one way to get kids to start coming to church. It worked, too. Youth attendance went up. In 2014, when I was 26, I moved to Ohio and started going to a baptist church because I couldn't find a Church of Christ near me. The first few weeks at the baptist church was uncomfortable. I mean, they played...music!! Can you imagine!? It was an acoustic guitar and piano! The horror!! But eventually I got comfortable and realised that the Church of Christ hadn't covered so much stuff. I'd tried asking questions at the church when I was younger and was told to stop asking questions. The baptist church I started attending not only welcomed questions, they encouraged it. We would have deep dives into scripture and I would learn so much. That's when my faith started to grow. In 2021, I moved to San Francisco. My bestfriend attended a pentecostal church. Again, I was uncomfortable with this, but I wanted to go to the same church as my bestfriend. Turns out, they're not a bunch of theatrical weirdos. They are the most essentric congregation I've ever been a part of, with a full band on stage and members dancing openly. Like with the baptist church, I eventually got comfortable here. Almost two years later, I realise now after so much more studying that your denomination doesn't really matter. The three different churches I've been a member of throughout my life do things so wildly different from each other, but that doesn't mean that any of them are wrong. They all believe the same core things, that Jesus is the Son of God, He died for our sins and rose again. That's really the only thing that matters. Not labels or music or any of the countless reasons Christians fight about.

This writing fills my heart with so much joy. How I long for a unity of all the followers of Christ! I grew up in a Pentecostal church where the Sunday services are always very expressive and filled with energetic music. And that's how I feel very comfortable worshipping God. Then I moved to a Lutheran church in a small village in another province, was surprised but learnt how to blend in but one day when I was in 4th grade, I was "accused" as a Catholic (lol) by the pastor because of the way I prayed. I still don't know the reason to this day, but the way he judged me felt like he and everyone had a certain grudge towards the Catholics. Meanwhile I went to a Catholic school and I enjoyed learning about Catholicism and their traditions. Then I became a teen and moved away, attended Pentecostal church again, my family and I ready for our baptism. My aunt who was Lutheran CRIED so badly thinking we are going to be forever lost in a wrong faith. I seriously don't understand the fear and hatred against each other. Aren't we all Christians? We all follow Jesus. As long as you follow Him, then you are a brother/sister no matter how you do it. I will always introduce myself as a Christian, not a Pentecost or a Lutheran or whatever, because what matters is Him, and not our worldly identity.

Didn't your first church read in Scripture that we are to make a joyful noise unto the Lord? Don't they know David played a soothing harp? If not, how do you think that something more complex like a living cell or organism could be formed out of nothing? Much less a whole ecosystem that would be needed to sustain that organism that would be present all at once?

Great video! The word you’re looking for regarding the nature of Christ is miaphisite - meaning Jesus was “fully God, yet fully man, without changing, mingling or confusion.” In other words it’s a mystery. (When discussing Oriental Orthodoxy) My priest described it as sticking a sword in the fire. It is still a sword, yet it glows white with the heat.

If he means Churches of Christ (it's unclear, but I assume he does given this seems more US focused, but maybe he means one of the other forms?), then yeah, that's a big FU to that denomination. And his comment about liberal churches... he's definitely got an axe to grind and isn't unbiased. Edit: Ah, he means Disciples of Christ, given the symbol. Not Churches of Christ. @Jason Smith actually the Last Supper wasn't a Passover Seder: The majority of scholars of the Last Supper do not believe that it was a Passover meal, a position consistent with the account given by the Gospel of Saint John. A minority believe that it was a seder or Passover meal, a position consistent with the Synoptic gospels. However, as Enrico Mazza has argued, the minority view "remains a theological interpretation. The historical fact is that the Last Supper was not a Passover celebration and, consequently, that its liturgy was not that of the Jewish Passover" (The Celebration of the Eucharist: The Origin of the Rite and the Development of Its Interpretation [Collegeville, MN: Liturgical Press, 1999] pp. 25-26).

The Catholic church in the late second century committed apostasy John warned of and the catholic adopted the outright pagan trinity teaching and also the pagan immortal soul teaching. Learn what the Judeo-Christian beliefs were. Reject the pagan trinity teaching as did Sir Isaac Newton and many others who searched/search for the Truth written plainly in the Bible. Use The Divine Name of God as Jesus taught to Firstly pray for The Sanctification of God's Name. God's Name is The Tetragrammaton and it is Replaced by pagan apostate trinitarians as all capital letters GOD or LORD in their Bible translations. Almost 7,000 times is YHWH written in the Judeo-Christian Bible. Every time those Hebrew verses with YHWH in them were read aloud in the first century or copied down in the first century writings the Name of the One True God would have Rightly been pronounced. Reject the apostate pagan trinity and Glorify God in the heavens and His Firstborn Son Jesus Christ. Yes give them Each their PROPER recognition. Reject the apostate pagan trinity and search out the Truth. No one comes to the Father except through Jesus Christ. Where's the trinity in that statement tWinity maybe lol.

The big question I have... is the faith that people practice today the same as the faith the original Apostles kept? As far as I can tell, they kept the Sabbath and Holy Days all with new emphasis on Christ. For instance, Passover was seen as not only the remembrance of the passing over of the Israelites by the death angel in Egypt, but also a yearly commemoration of his death and resurrection which allows us to also be born again (This do you in remembrance of me..."). What do easter bunnies, painted eggs and sunrise services (all of which seem pagan) have to do with Christ? We were told to commemorate his death, not his birth (as in christmas), because his DEATH and resurrection were the most important things to ever happen to the human race. The Feast of Tabernacles looks forward to Christ's return and 1000 year reign on Earth. Redressed pagan holidays seem to hold little meaning compared to the Holy Days the disciples would have kept. All I'm saying is that the "christianity" of today seems to hold very little in common with the first century church. Why is that?
@Sindalis1
@Sindalis1 Жыл бұрын
@@privatear2001 Good questions! This is not true with orthodoxy. In eastern orthodoxy, the services that are preformed are the same services that have been preformed for over sixteen hundred years. In fact, the divine liturgy of Saint James brother of the lord is still regularly performed. Said service goes back literally to the apostle James, though this service is usually only done on his name day. Typical liturgies are of St John Chrysostom or of Saint Basil the great; the former a derivative of the latter though both are in modern usage worldwide. On the issue of why the sabbath, high holy days, and 'jewish' traditions being lost, that was intentional right at the very beginning of the church. This is explicitly stated by Paul in his epistles in the new testament that Jesus created a new covenant, not brought outsiders into the old one (an explicit no-no for jews). Thus people brought into Christianity from the beginning were creating something new, they did not need to be Jewish to be saved, nor were they needing to adopt jewish traditions. This in the first century, most likely directly from the apostles themselves had the sabboth move from Saturday to Sunday, as jesus was witnessed alive on Sunday, the first day of the week, and transform from a restrictive day of rest to a day of rest and worship, as the divine liturgy was commigrated weekly on that day. A tradition that has continued for two thousand years. It is known that Jews who converted often did keep some of their original traditions, and the pagans who converted brought in a few of their traditions as well. Eggs and bunnies have been the traditions of fertility since ancient times. Colored eggs (specifically red) have been used as a symbol of Christianity since its founding. The red eggs coming from the story of Saint Mary Magdalene preforming the miracle of having an egg change color to red in her hand in the presence of Emperor Tiberias as she preached the gospel. Thus red eggs are still a tradition in eastern orthodoxy. Egg decorating on Easter was done since at least medieval times, which is where additional colors came from. Later on these were changed from literal eggs to chocolate eggs as of the late 1600's at least in Germany, where the Osterhase AKA Easter hare, was said to lay them. How the Osterhase ended up in America is easy, he came with German settlers to Pennsylvania and spread throughout the US. The tradition of the Easter bunny has nothing to do with the church, but given the relative lack of church tradition with protestant denominations, has become part of Easter in America. The same can be said of christmas, santa claus, tooth fairy, ect... each of these made their way into the American lexicon from ideas brought in from abroad due to immigration of various groups and the beliefs being incorporated into American life. With some of the holidays like Christmas taking on new meanings again, due to the lack of church tradition in protestant denominations, picking up more importance than easter. Which as you have pointed out, is the incorrect way to think of it. Yes we should celebrate Jesus's birth, but we should celebrate his death more, as his death was key to the promise of eternal life for all who follow him. Now if we get to the meat of the question... why? Why has it changed so much in 2000 years for some and for others (like the orthodox) barely at all. Answer; disagreements over a timescale of 2000+ years. Starting from the little schism that separated off the Coptics from the rest of the church. to the great schism of 1054 which divided eastern and western world, to the protestant reformation and rejection of church tradition by the protestant denominations have lead to a fractured belief structure where nominally all are 'Christian' as in believe in the core tenants as proclaimed in the gospel, but are radically different. As an orthodox is pains me to look at many protestant denominations get so much about meanings of the bible wrong. Interpreting scripture incorrectly due to mostly translation issues and lost context of the scriptures original meanings from the source text. Also most protestant denominations have little to no context of original church scripture written by the apostles or the apostles apostles (second and third generations). The orthodox AND Catholic churches have a ton of these writings and they are used for the contexts of holy traditions. It would be like an American looking to the constitution and at making judgements on what its words mean without having the supporting documents such as the federalist papers, the magna carta, or english common law. It is no wonder then why protestant denominations with wildly incorrect or even heretical beliefs sprout up all claiming to be 'Christian'... is because the source of the information (the Bible) is just the start, not the only holy work of the religion.

@@Sindalis1 Well, all I can say is I see nothing in scripture anywhere where God authorized the changing of the Sabbath from the seventh day of the week to the first. The seventh day was set in stone from the creation onward as a rest day. It didn't just occur out of nowhere in the 10 commandments. God says He is the same now and forever. He does not change. What he considers sin does not change. Nobody had the authority to change the Sabbath from the seventh day to the first, not the pope, not Paul, not Peter, not Ceaser. And nowhere in the Bible does it speak of it, as far as I can tell. As for the Holy days, Zechariah 14:16 says "And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles." As far as I can tell, the Apostles and Christ all kept the Holy Days but the disciples would have kept them now looking forward to Christ's return "This do in remembrance of me..." He was taken on Passover night - an action directly hearkening back to the Passover lamb being slain for the sins of the Israelites in Egypt centuries before. Beautiful foreshadowing with rich meaning which I believe is lost on "easter sunday". Christ was already risen by the time Sunday morning rolled around according to the scripture. Probably the end of the Sabbath prior. The Feast of Tabernacles reminds us that our bodies are all "earthen tents" subject to decay until Christ returns and then we will be with him in his kingdom on earth. The Holy Days in scripture point towards a future time with richness and meaning. The "traditions of men" that have been handed down through the ages and that are the face of christianity today are totally irrelevant and devoid of meaning, from what I can see, just rules and regulations made by men. I see nothing resembling the first century church in what people call "christianity" today. Everything is just a copy and kept on what were old pagan holidays. Christ asked "What business has light with darkness?" And I have thought much about the parable of entering at the narrow gate. FEW there are who find it. But the majority go through the wide gate. That implies to me that many who think they are Christian today might not be actually practicing Christianity at all. And unfortunately, that may cost them dearly. That's what scripture implies to me. I hope I'm wrong about it, but that's what it implies.

I was a missionary in Texas for two years and had always wondered about the beliefs of the various churches there. Really interesting. I would like to make a correction about beliefs of members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints(Mormon) Articles of Faith: “1 We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. 2 We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression. 3 We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel. 4 We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost. 5 We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof. 6 We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth. 7 We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth. 8 We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. 9 We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God. 10 We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory. 11 We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may. 12 We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law. 13 We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul-We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.” As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ we very much share many core beliefs of Christianity, and everything you listed in the beginning. Christ is at the center. Based on this analogy we’re very close to Catholicism, though we believe that the authority Christ gave to His apostles was lost and the world fell into a time called the great apostasy, when no more prophets had been called of God until the early 1800s. The story of Joseph Smith begins with him going to various churches trying to discern which might be true. He turned to the bible and found James 1:5. Heeding that he went out alone to pray for understanding and there we have the beginning of the restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ as He had established it during His time on earth. We believe every church has some portion of the truth, but that the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ is found in His restored church, and that anyone who genuinely wishes to know and understand, as with anything, should turn to the greatest authority on the matter and pray and ask God if it is true.

@sepulvedablvd7846 The opposite actually. Unlike modern people, people of the past believed that the world was declining instead of advancing, so the further back you went, the wiser and more intelligent people were. So, how do you reconcile the fact that people were simultaneously wrong but more intelligent (they were wrong because they believed in several gods, but they were right about the observations that they made about the world about them)? The answer simply, they didn't have the bible, so they couldn't make the right conclusions! So, all of the stuff about Roman gods was in a way right, they just had to reinterpret them in a Christian way. So all of the "recycled" concept and stuff you see in Christianity (there's a lot of Egyptian stuff too), is, in fact, on purpose, not a "gotcha!" as people seem to believe, like you do.

@@fabianletsch1354 I honestly have to do more research on the topic of tongues, however I have always been interested in that aspect of the pentecostal church. my current view on the speaking of tongues is that the bible clearly says it is a gift of the holy spirit that is given to some. I must admit that if I experienced someone supposedly speaking in tongues, I would be skeptical. I believe that for someone to truly be speaking in tongues, the words they say have to be beneficial to others in leading them to christ. like in acts when the apostles first speak in tongues, their words lead thousands of people to be saved. so to answer your question I think speaking in tongues is a very real gift from the holy spirit that he still uses today, but I think a lot of people who supposedly speak in tongues are not actually, they are just caught up in emotions or feel that they have to speak in tongues to prove they are spiritual. but God gives everyone different gifts, so not everyone is going to speak in tongues in their life. I have the same view on the other spiritual gifts you mentioned. Honestly, I want to do my own research on this subject though. as someone with no religious faith i still find the history behind this fascinating. seeing as religion has had a monumental amount of weight on history and the acts done throughout it learning about the different branches summerized into simple terms helps give context. i wish there was other explanation like videos for other religions and belief systems. its awesome youre doing this, even if i might not agree on faith, its still wonderful to see people love what they do as long as no harm is done to others

Lutheran is interesting for sure. I started SDA, attended non-denom, got swept up in a cult and abandoned it for atheism until my efforts to disprove the Bible through "contradictions" in the gospel, but only gained a stronger faith. I became a disciple who hung on the words of Christ Who promised that the law (about loving God perfectly and loving our fellow men as ourselves) would not change in the slightest way until Heaven and Earth passed away. If the law (which cannot save us) is about loving God, then why change the law written in stone by a perfect God, especially the part that was specifically asked for us to remember because it sets our worship of The One True God apart from the rest of the Pagan world and worshipers of false gods? If the law is not changed in the slightest despite men's efforts in the Synod of Laodecia, and the words of Christ hold true: that the law is unchanged and a means by which we love Him Who first loved us- then why practice rebellion against God?

@@Slotcaramba I am a Seventh Day Adventist. I was catholic before. Finding God through the SDA church has been a treasure for me. Don’t stop your friend from approaching the SDA church. God is calling her, don’t be a stumbling block. Just pray for her that God guides her. As far as “Christian Jews” we believe to keep all 10 commandments. Including the 4th one. Keeping the Sabbath Holy. No where in the Bible does it say to change the Holy day to Sunday. So we worship and congregate on Sabbath. Like it has been with the Jews since the beginning of time. 6 days of creation… on the seventh day God rested. The Seventh being Saturday. The real Sabbath. We also keep the food laws as much as possible. Maybe not in the way we butcher and prepare the meat. But we do abstain from eating “unclean” animals like shrimp, pork etc. Ellen G. White is seen as a lesser light. Her writing help us understand the Bible, so they are to be used as study guides or commentary, and we believe God used her to write these books, but her books don’t have more authority than the Bible. So while she writes about many things about Christ and the early church, and the apostles, she also writes about Christian life and not only abstaining from unclean animals, but she also suggests eating a vegetarian or vegan diet. Not all Adventists are vegetarian or vegan, but it’s definitely one of our messages, to eat clean and healthy and take care of God’s temple which is our body. Within the Seventh Day Adventist church you will find liberals and conservatives and everything in between. Also ultra liberals and ultra conservatives. That I must warn you about. Don’t judge the SDA church based off the ultras. I do recommend you watch Amazing Facts channel on KZbin with Pastor Doug Batchelor. He is an amazing example of conservative (anti woke) but not legalistic or unbiblical. Look him up on KZbin . He has a lot of sermons explaining and debunking a lot of misconceptions of the SDA church, but most importantly, he has tons of sermons intended to direct us to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The state of the dead is also a belief we hold. What happens when we die? You will be fascinated by what Doug Batchelor teaches directly from scripture! Blessings!

Babylon the Great includes all denominations and sects of christianity. Babylon is confusion and those who subscribe to any of these sects are a member of a harlot. They are one flesh with her as opposed to being joined unto the Lord as one Spirit. As it is written, let God be true but EVERY MAN A LIAR. When we are yet carnal and are part of this global system of harlotry, we are alienated from the life of God. The great whore is very seductive and many strong men have been slain by her as the scriptures declare. There is none good but one, that is God. That was the response of Jesus when he was called Good Teacher. That still holds true today. The few who find the narrow path that leads to righteousness actually believe there is one Good Teacher and let Him be true but every man a liar. As it is written, for from the least unto the greatest of them, ALL are greedy for gain, prophets and priests alike, ALL practice deceit.

Although all of my close family are Christian, they're all different denominations. My dad and boyfriend are Baptist, my mom is Catholic (the church I was baptized in), my grandmother is Methodist... the list goes on. Basically, my point is that even though I'm definitely Christian, I'm not quite sure where I stand on denominations. Personally, I'd say I agree with Lutheranism most. This is something I've always struggled with since I was younger. This video really helped me kinda straighten things out! Thanks, and God bless. Edit: Can you guys please stop harassing me for not being Catholic? I have suffered abuse or at least terrible treatment from every one of my Catholic family members as a child and therefore have bad associations with the denomination. I've considered it recently, and that's kind of the whole point I was trying to make? Edit #2: God bless everyone that introduced me to the Orthodox church! I really do feel the way I feel I should as a Christian.

Objectively it might make more sense for individuals and congregations to decide matters regarding their religion democratically. Authoritarian leadership thousands of miles away in Rome might not be best practice. That was the major difference pointed out in this video between Catholics and Protestants. There is a LOT of confusion with both organizational systems of religion. Protestants just seem to get the confusion sorted faster locally.

My brother, do you not see how people look and their wonderful creation? Do you not see the very large planets, the vast space, the sky with its birds, the sun and the moon, the seas and their creatures, the earth and all its creatures? This is not the work of humans. This is only God's work. Jesus is God's prophet and messenger. Jesus worships God Almighty and does not associate anyone with Him. Why don't you worship God? Why do you worship someone like you? Why do you worship stones, trees, cows, idols, the sun, the moon, and the devil? It only takes a little thought and not to be arrogant and say: This is the religion of my ancestors. The test of your ancestors has ended and the time of testing ends at death. So what did you do on your test paper? (Think and look) at God’s great creation and you will know the truth, so worship God alone and do not associate anyone with Him

@@0SSM What you are missing, is that Jesus IS Creator God and one with the Father! Jesus took on human form in order to die, taking the punishment for our sin so that we could have eternal life with God. Because Jesus perfectly and completely paid for all sin, the Father raised him from death, and Jesus now reigns over all. If Jesus were only one more prophet/messenger, there would be no message to bring, and no escape from our sin and eternal death. It is ONLY through Jesus the Christ that we can have forgiveness from our sin. The Prophet Jesus is only a human being. You are the ones who said that He is the Son of God and that He is the third of the three and in Him is the Father. Unfortunately, things are neither logical nor rational. God Almighty is above the seventh heaven above the throne. This is his place. Glory be to God Almighty. The difference between you and me is that you worship a human being who has a father, a son, and a god inside him, and this is wrong. Worship God alone, with no partner, living and never dying, great and wise, so worship God and do not associate anyone with Him. Under the definition of Christianity, Mormonism does in fact qualify as a Christian religion. It would be considered a restorationist denomination. Having lots of personal experience with both members and the scripture used by the religion, Mormons do believe that Christ is fully God (Jehova of the Old Testament) and fully man (the messiah of the New Testament).
