“To pray on the vulnerable is wolflike”

Powerful ...but notice no one wants to hear it? It has been 1 yr, and only a few views? Yet how appropriate the message! We seem to prefer the magic wand aproach where a deliverance prayer cures people because we don't have the time or training or patience to deal with people who are hurting. The suffering become burdens. I also understand that there are those who may not want to recover, so it takes both parties to make this work. Not everyone who followed Jesus around wanted to change; out of the thousands ministered to, only 620 believers were still with Him to start the Church. But we have to keep doing the will of God, regardless.

We say family is sacred. A family where abuse happens is not sacred. It is toxic. In your family, you should be safe, protected and not less than other members who abuse you. Abuse is not ok. Nobody was born to be abused. Enabling abusers is wrong and creates deep suffering.

Family is absolutely sacred and we agree that abuse is NEVER okay. Jesus definitely was clear on this.

I am sorry, but where someone is allowed to abuse, is not sacred. You may disagree, I understand that. Diane Langberg also stated examples where the ties in families are anything but. We can agree to disagree. I will be always on the side of the abused.

the form of a marriage… 1. acknowledging the problem 2. be humble 3. abuse is abuse 4. Victims rarely lie unless they are (protecting) the perpetrator. 5. If we love the abuser we hold them accountable. We don’t believe his lies. Or turn it into a spiritual one-up-manship contest. Until the victim has heart failure… 7. Saying that family is sacred is what I did not getting out of the relationship sooner. I put “family” on a pedestal and sacrificed myself. That was not Godly. I have been asking for help, for years in every way I could think. The very truth of my poor heart function speaks for itself. That I was not heard by the church, by those in civil authority, etc. however the story is not over.
