I still play both Grimrock games. And I'm even working on a Grimrock One dungeon remade with the Grimrock II dungeon editor. It's... and interesting endeavor.

Another dungeon crawler worth covering is The Fall of the Dungeon Guardians. Some more good ones are: Operencia: The Stolen Sun, StarCrawlers, Vaporum and Wizardry 8.

Wow i was playing this game because i never finish it and i was searching in youtube and this video appears. i believe its a pretty solid game. If you want to get all the secrets by your own its pretty hard on the other hand there are tons of guides out there. In the end it will depend on how much time you want to give to the game. A full run with 0 extra info will need a lot of time. Good video.

yea, there's a lot of subtle hidden bits, and even a few more obtuse puzzles to solve towards the end (I still think the game's start is amazing, and it deserves a play by people who enjoy the genre - though the end does fall flat, and some of the later puzzles do get pretty convoluted or even "luck" based, in terms of stumbling upon the solution)

throwing weapon minotaur was a beast, headhunter trait doubled the damage of a throwing axe

heh, he definitely carried a lot of zones on the map (the minotaur in the party in the video was a headhunter rogue and loved it :) )

yea, the bottom few levels get pretty complicated with the puzzles and such (and a few of the enemies can be tough too)

Do you ever get used to the chunky movement? I'm interested but the movement is throwing me off

@@ryanwood6006 it's intentionally that way because the game is grid based - it felt pretty natural after I got used to it since it's WASD+QE with mouse for controlling attacks. Think the only part that felt clunky (and this is true for the second game too) was the magic system, since it involved having to input combos with the mouse (I solved that by sticking with mostly the basic spells in combat)
