Avram: Happy New Year! Today's Rachel's birthday. Happy birthday, Rachel. Yay!
It's not airing on your birthday, but we're still recording and we're in our happy place.
Rachel: That's correct.
Avram: How does it feel to be a year older?
Rachel: Same.
Avram: The same, which is kind of similar to how we're feeling about today's topic, which is around goal setting and more importantly, What goals?
Rachel: Yeah.
Avram: We're kind of making fun of it this year. If you remember last year and you were a listener, then episode 24, we had a episode called not the same old boring goal setting conversation, which was also different than the standard, which is also a lot like today.
Rachel: Yeah.
Avram: What made us choose this topic?
Rachel: Just because we have had quite a number of years having goals and we just have our goals aligned. So when we're going in the direction we want to go and that's why we would set a goal, you kind of don't have to create new things. It's just in support of that thing, that goal, those things that you're doing.
So, that's why we're kind of making fun of it because we don't need to create goals. We don't need to come up with them. We just need to decide how we're going to be better this year than we were last year, because we are doing what we want to do.
Avram: And I think that's the key piece, right? If you're headed in the right direction where you want to be and things are moving in that direction, you don't have to invent something new to accomplish.
