Hilary this is the video upload I’ve been waiting for to see you representing the Alabama collegiate bass fishing team is an amazing accomplishment! I’m so proud to see where you been and where your going, you have the best mentors to sharpen your bass skills in your father and grandfather! You’re focused and dedicated to always be out on the water the skies the limit where your experience being part of this team will push you forward in bass fishing professionally! If someday you are fishing on the same level as your father you have a supporter for life!! Keep focused on your studies learn all you can from your team members pick yourself up learn from what happen today and move on to the next and I can’t wait to see you in the next tournament Hillary! Tight lines take care and God bless!❤❤❤❤

Hillary you’re an amazing fisherman. I’ve looked up to you since I started fishing. You’re truly inspiring for us girls. Your dad is also inspiring. He commented a couple years back on a instagram post when I had 9.11 with 4 fish as a fifth grader. That definitely gave me motivation to do better.

Back in the mid 70’s I worked in Birmingham and we would drive up I-65 to Smith. We would fish until 10 pm then hi tail back home facing work the next day. Back then a 6” motor oil color worm was the hot ticket. We would fish the gravel points catching 10-12 fish but none of them large enough to write home about but we had fun. Smith is a beautiful and very deep & clear lake. Some areas at shore line you would be in 6ft of water then move out a few more feet and you could be in 200-300 ft

We fish a lot in the summer months at night and on Smith lake and we have fished in the day time and we catch a lot of two and three pound fish and I would say that summer it probably the best time for us also but far as big fish we catch a few five and six pound fist around the spring time

Great video Hilary, cold weather fishing for bass is always tough. I live on Big Lake Harris in Leesburg, Florida and with all these cold fronts coming in back to back the bass have totally turned off, I guess it time to go crappy fishing......
@Mjones8383Ай бұрын
Actually in Alabama cold weather fishing is some of the best fishing. Our bass are mostly northern strain and spotted bass that don't shut down and act like weenies like Florida strain bass. That's 1 reason why our lakes are so much better than any other state other than Texas. We get 12 months of phenomenal fishing

Got a trick for that spoon....curly tail trailer with swivel. Maybe even two swivels. It's something that will wreck them in the deep and in hot summer days where nothing bites.
@BassholeByNatureFishingАй бұрын
I think I’m misunderstanding you. Are you saying put the swivel on the trailer or use a swivel to tie the spoon to the line,,,,

I do not like the cold either! I shut completely down when I'm cold! Lol. I live in Tennessee so doesn't get as cold here as it does in some places but gets to cold here for me. Lol. I want to move somewhere it stays fairly warm all year around. I have went fishing in colder weather but not often. Lol. When it's cold here I stay my butt inside with plenty of blankets and hoodies and anything else that may help keep me warm. Lol! Girl y'all were catching them and they wasn't measuring! That sucks! That fat one was so fat and I wanted him to measure sooo bad too! Either way tho very very nice fishing! Y'all did amazing! 💖🙂
