To understand the video you'd have to watch all the MVs for their Albums Flight Log: Departure (Fly) , Flight Log: Turbulence (Hard Carry) & Flight Log: Arrival (Never Ever). The Mvs for those three Albums are connected, as you can tell from the titles. Also you'll notice they often have that little bird in their Mv's. Reason for that is the bird is supposed to symbolise their fans as their fandom is called "IGOT7" but Koreans pronouce it as "AhGaSe" or "아가새" , which translates to "baby bird".

They made recent comeback with “NANANA” as the first group of their this generation and second artist (as far as I can remember) to own all rights to their group name and be the owners of themselves since they left JYP Ent.

I believe first generation group Shinhwa which debuted in 1998 is one of the first groups to own/retain the rights to their name and their music. Hence, why when they left SM Entertainment, they were able to continue as a group and still use their name. They left SM in 2003 and signed with Good Entertainment from 2004-12 where the members had creative control over their music and song choices. However, in 2012 they left Good and created their own independent company called Shinhwa Company. Shinhwa is the only first generation group to still have all their members and still produce music. However, they haven't had a comeback as a group since 2018 as part of their 20th anniversary celebrations. But the members are still involved in the industry as actors, producers, and CEOs of their company, etc.

They are my 2nd fave group. They are just as chaotic, fun, talented and humble. When you research you will see stories of mistreatment from JYP. They made history recently with their comeback. They are also friends with BTS 💜💚

The storyline in "Hard Carry" is connected to GOT7's "Fly" and "Never Ever" and they are all part of their Flight Log album. In order to understand the full story you have to watch all 3 MVs, as well as their teaser trailer videos for Flight Log. The story starts out in "Fly" and continues in "Hard Carry," where you see they have been in a plane crash, which is why you see Jackson and BamBam inside the plane with all the oxygen masks hanging. The theory is that all the members died in the plane crash except JinYoung. You will see in "Never Ever" how he is brought back to life. You also see Mark in the back of the ambulance, but he just gets up and walks away like his spirit is exiting the ambulance. You see YoungJae in that white space with all the green trees as if he is in Heaven. Then you see JB in that same space, but the trees have turned brown, as if they are now dead -- which I think is because their spirits are being summoned from Heaven back into the real word -- they need to save JinYoung before they can be at peace. They are all in that apocalypse-looking scene with everything on fire and the smashed cars, etc. because that is the destruction that happened after the plane crashed. It is thought the reason why you see them all under water is because JinYoung is drowning/dying -- maybe the plane crashed in the water or maybe it's just a metaphor for slipping away and struggling to breath -- and the other ghost/spirit members have to save him. There is also a theory that the reason why JinYoung is trapped in the box and drowning because it's a metaphor for his feelings of guilt as the only surviving member. I'm not sure if you understand the meaning of the term "Hard Carry." Hard Carry is a multiplayer video game term that means the other players have to Hard Carry the weakest player in the group, making up for their shortcomings or weakness in the game in order to keep the team alive. Therefore, the GOT7 members have to make the sacrifice to Hard Carry JinYoung in order to keep him alive. Which is why at one point you see him floating above the other members and they literally catch him as he falls. Something to note: The reason why you see the references to birds in a lot of GOT7's MVs and content, like in "Hard Carry" for example, is because GOT7's fandom IGOT7 (pronounced, "I Got 7") sounds like Aghase in Korean, which means "baby bird," therefore, the birds symbolize their fans.

GOT7 are signed under jyp entertainment , the left the agency because of all mistreatment and sabotagation put by their ex-company . They left their former company on Jan 2021, in Feb 2021 group release a ballad single 'Encore' telling their fans they will gonna do music together. Members signed with different companies for solo work and as a group they signed under Warner music Korea. JayB, the leader of group along with other members fight for group trademark and won all rights and name to group, making the first kpop in history to own their brand name with such clear and dignified way. On May 23, 2022 they come back with album title as 'GOT7'' and Title track 'NANANA' under Warner Music Korea.

Hey really enjoyed your reaction and take on this MV. As the others have mentioned, there is a storyline behind this MV and another 2 more (including the trailers/teasers) as part of the flightlog trilogy. Also, I am not sure whether u r aware but you have reacted to 1 of the member's MV recently - Jackson Wang's Blow - I recalled you really enjoyed it :)
