For characters like Alastor, I just imagine it's not redemption but an entire AU where he was a good person in life. Still a radio host, but innocent. Maybe he was the victim of a serial killer instead of the culprit? Maybe he reported about the previous kills and publically denounced the murderer (and paid the price), or a menacing letter was sent to the radio station and the killer went after one of the hosts (him) for not reading it on broadcast? Maybe he let controversial opinions slip and someone came after him? Idk.

I like to imagine he was a man of the people, mainly his Mother’s people. He is mixed after all, but white-passing, so I like to think he probably said some controversial things about how nobody is free until we’re all treated equally- and a racist figured out Al was mixed and that’s why he was killed.

A detail I think you overlooked is that we see Molly, Angel's sister, in Heaven. She has wings. So giving Angel Dust wings does make sense.

Funny thing about Angel’s skirt: in animation sometimes they’re shorts, then in the same episode turns into a skirt. Had me very confused when trying to figure it out. Could be that he has shorts under the skirt so that pokes out when the skirt rides up

I know when he’s like transforming into his other form (I’m not sure what to call it) he has horns, but I thought they were just spawning out of his head not that they were just growing in size 😭😭

I feel like for Angel’s design, #2’s colors with #3’s design would look best imo! The skirt and belt combo defines him more and adds just a little extra flair, and the blue symbolizes the stark contrast of how he used to be and how he’s come to be a better person overall!

thats exactly what I was thinking 😭 the style of her clothes in hell is not because she was blown up. She was an Australian punk in life. the punk scene is all about DIY and the style modernly features a lot of rips, in the past and still now it was very heavy on custom patches. Hence patch pants (or crust pants, depending on if you wash them and area crust punk) and patch jackets/vests (modern alt kids call them battle jackets because of the political patches, the patches of people's ideologies, etc, rather than it mostly being just band patches)

i think the character designs of this show are so cool and they pay so much attention to detail, for example idk if its just me but the red spots on nifty's original dress make me think of gunshot wounds or something so maybe if she had a past life that's how she died

15:41 there is a character concept named Roo, and Vivzie said she can’t wait to get into the character. There is a theory that Roo is the demon Alastor made a deal with. Roo stands for the Root of all Evil. And the reason why Lilith is in heaven is because she made a deal with Roo. When Alastor makes his creepy face, those symbols around him represent different gods, and Roo told Alastor while he was alive to kill evil people because she was a god, and really, it was just feeding her, making her stronger. And that theory explains why the exterminations happen and why Heaven doesn’t want to get rid of the exterminations. Simply because they feed Roo, keeping Roo happy and non violent. When Alastor made a deal with Roo, he wanted to continue punishing people, and feeding Roo, Roo gave Alastor specific tasks, so when he fought Vox, the reason he lost is because Roo took away Alastor’s powers. Lilith brought Alastor back to health and told him to protect Charlie while Lilith was in heaven. That’s also why Alastor lost the fight with Adam. It’s just a theory and I know I forgot to mention a lot but if you look it up, it’s really neat.

I don't think alastor is ever getting into heaven but your character designs are so beautiful. My favorite was alastor's design since he's my favorite character and I love how instead of giving him pointy horns you made them as heart shaped and more curly gold. I also really liked the colors you picked for every character which was usually pastel blue, pink, and gold to match it with the heaven. No dark colors but heavenly colors.

I absolutely love Angel's blue design! The blue and gold really worked well! I liked the others' designs too, but I think maybe Cherry Bomb should have some kind of translucent tights, the skirt looks too revealing for heaven (although her tattoos are FIRE). Last but not least, our deer boy looks SO CUTE! I love how his horns match so perfectly with his halo. By the way, I don't know about his color scheme. I'd probably end up changing it a hundred times, but the more I look at him more it grows on me. (Maybe your struggle with his design is a reflection of how hard it'd be for him to get redeemed lol.)

So if you google Alastor’s lore according to vivziepop, al is determined to become and angel to see his mom again. There’s a whole comic about al and his mom, him being a mama’s boy. Viv is probably gonna go with that story when they show his backstory and get the person who made the comic in on it. (I think they did the same thing with vaggie, started as a comic then turned into the episode) And apparently al is mixed, black and white. (Though he doesn’t look like it at all, maybe light skinned, but he should’ve been slightly darker ngl)

Conceptually, I would not give Alastor horns for heaven since its a reference to windigo. I would stick with the fox motif on that one. All of them look great
