I’d be curious to hear more about buffs vs debuffs when attacking keeps. I’m just getting into SvS so understanding how my attack buffs will stand up without testing has been a bit tough. For example, my mounted is 1300/1000/1000 so realistically what can that handle?

It would be difficult to give you a precise answer because it will depend on several factors. For a general rule of thumb, if the enemy's general's power is similar to yours, that is a good indication that you could do damage. If it's less, then better 😄 But like I said, there are more factors to consider. If you want more clarity on how debuffs work, I have a video on understanding debuffs. That should help clear up a few things 😇

I am keep level 29 with watchtower level 28 and I am only seeing number of reinforcements in my scout reports. I don't see reinforcements details like how many soldiers and which soldiers, generals etc nothing!! Also I have another account with keep 34 watchtower 33 and the same thing in scout reports. If your Watchtower is above lv27, and if the keep you scouted has reinforcements, you will see a gold icon on the top right side of the report. If you tap on the icon, you will see the reinforcements 👌

General power don't mean much. Only the buffs matter

Hi 🙂👋 The answer is very simple - when experienced players start on a new server, they spend money 💰 to level up their castles very quickly. Depending on how much they spend, they can get their castles up to K30 in just a few days

To give a short answer, most t1 cav traps are built to withstand archer attacks. Also, cav rallies seem to perform well against T1s. But it will depend on the buffs as well 😇

In my server, there is a player with over 3-4 billion in power and he doesn’t know how to read reports 😂. Also forgot to mention he is k39 and his highest attack buff is only 1600 and others at 1000-1100 😂

Buffs are reflected in the general's power. Unless in certain situations, you don't need to check the buffs 👌

It’s almost hard to continue. You’re putting the general’s power above the importance of troops buffs? My alliance mate has a general with high power, she can afford civilization gear, 😅 but she doesn’t listen to us, NOT ONE piece of the civilization gear is refined.

I don't know what's up with your alliance mate 😅😂 but if the person is playing properly, the general's power is a reflection of the buffs. So higher buffs will translate to higher general power. So in a fast paced situation, you generally do not need to check the buffs. With experience, you'll have a good idea just by looking at the power. Also, flat refines are not shown in the buffs, but to an extent, they are reflected in the power 👌

General power means little as it buffs nothing. I could refine a set of civ gear with max gold production in subs and put that on a fully ascended level 45, and that general would look legit AF if power mattered

Yes, you COULD do that. But the question is WOULD you? At the end of the day, if you are playing properly, the general's power is a reflection of the buffs 😇 Also, don't confuse something. If you are developing your general, then power doesn't mean much, it's the buffs that matter. But if you are reading a scout report, that's a different situation. The general's power is a quick reflection that will give you an idea of how strong the general is. 👌

I literally just posted a video and you say I went silent 😅😂 While I do try to review as many generals as I can, I don't review all of the new generals Evony releases 😇 Unfortunately, Merlin came out at a time when I was busy with other videos. As for Merlin, he is a decent general and right now, He has arguably the highest ranged buffs in the game. But he has issues with March size and compatibility. For most people I've talked to using either Douglas, Marcus or Mihai, they are not too inclined to switch to Merlin. But of course, that's not the option of everyone. All in all, the release of Merlin is typical Evony - a new general that is a bit better than the last. And I'm sure there will be more to come.
