Karting question: how do you guys stay focused in a karting race when there is nobody in front of you and nobody behind, bc I just zone out and start making mistakes

Just keep trying to set perfect lap times, and most importantly you have to be consistently with your laps. Try to have not more than 2 tenth difference between your laps max. having a digital dash helps.

i normally just drive more carefull and not think about lap times just make the corners clean and just remember its better to brake a little too early than to late

@@jelmxrrrDon’t agree with this one at all. When you are driving on top level, braking a little earlier than usual wil give you the last place. You just have to stay focused and try to drive perfect lap after lap

Congratulations, Bram. Some great driving there. I agree with you. I never had a plan going into a race either. Other than to stay focused, drive the fastest laps I could, and take advantage of opportunities when they popped up. Seemed to work more often than not.

Yo I recommend you, idk how you can try it but there is a Brazilian engine called Fortex that is T4 and can get up to 130km/h with 43hp (the most powerful engine) with just like 3k for the whole kart, isn’t that crazy?
