Krayt Dragon and Pontite have to be my favorite on this list. The Krayt Dragon pearls giving off a powerful blade sounds so cool and the Pontite is a cold crystal that emits a calming effect from the blade, giving it a healing aura for the Force that affects even dark side users. Easily two of my favorite lightsaber crystals in Star Wars.

Except that's wrong, the pearl isn't a focusing crystal it's a force multiplier.

Qixoni crystals- This crystal produces a dark red lightsaber blade that seems to cry and scream in pain and fear as its swung around, while increasing the strength of it's dark side wielder.

Kohlen crystals made a non lethal non solid flame like blade that could pass through shields. Obi-Wan found this out when his kyber crystal was stolen and replaced with one. They could also be used in a shield generator to combat lightsabers better than normal shields.

There was one crystal I think it was only mentioned 2 or 3 times it was used for stealth generators and some Sith use them as light saber crystals. It produced a caramel colored blade that had a soda like effect and was nearly impossible for force users to detect and made almost no sound when turned on. Fun fact the inventor used it in a sparring match and when he got angry and when he turned on his blade on he turned invisible for a split dangerous as hell in a dual.

There were also supposed to be very rare naturally red crystals (presumably from kyber formations at darkside attuned locations), I don't know if any of this is cannon anymore but by the time of the original trilogy Vader was supposed to use one of these because it was more powerful. Such locations would also presumably have more orange and purple crystals than someplace like Illum was supposed to pre bleed cannon.

It’s not that rare as the crystal was Obsidian kinda of, this was a special kind of Obsidian mined from dark side shrines and were infused with the power of the dark side of the Force. As a result when put into lightsaber it produces a Red blade without the need to bleed a crystal.

@@TheMichaellathrop Obsidian Kyber is 100% cannon Snoke wears a ring with an Obsidian kyber crystals and the obsidian crystals that make natural red blades are sold at Galaxy’s edge look up Obsidian in Wookiepedia and there’s a section that called “In Lightsabers”

When I was really young, I got to keep a Star Wars “Jedi manual” from my kindergarten library, and there was a section that showed how the Jedi make their lightsabers and it showed the different lightsabers of some of the main Jedi and sith. And when it talked about the kyber crystals, it mentioned that some of the sith made artificial crystals which gave them the red color. Don’t know for true if it’s true or not though.

I remember there was one unique kyber crystal named PERMAFROST Crystal, which was almost the same as normal kyber, but instead of MELTING objects, they literally FREEZING them, and could be found on Dathomir, Aurellia and Hoth. Tho, it may be only in legends, since the only appearence is the old Star Wars game.

You forgot Quaza Stone. This rare crystal produced a blade of red with a black core, and was specifically intended for use by those who possessed bio-mechanical abilities granted to them by the Hero Factory. It should be noted that Quaza itself is light sided, but a even rarer dark sided variant called Anti-Quaza existed. It should also be noted that only someone with a Quaza Core could tell the difference between the two, hence why Hero Factory Bio-mech units would use them, as they themselves had Quaza Cores to power their bio-mechanics, much like the robotic heroes at the Hero Factory had as their power cores.

The crystal of the lightsaber isn't for power, it's to focus the plasma, or to color/extend the blade in different mods, touch paper and read. all lightsabers were powered by power cells of a very high energy density, and the plasma blade is collapsed and stored inside of the cell. There are countless canon examples of this in lore. Ironically not one star wars channel on KZbin seams to have a clue, are you guys just making shit up?
