Shameel Ji, I would love to see a show on the topic: “Why don’t Punjabis migrate to other Indian states for education or jobs?” My family is originally from Punjab, but my father moved to Gujarat, and that change made a huge impact on my life. It was there that I came to truly appreciate the value of education. I couldn’t picture myself working on our ancestral farmland, which was already too small to sustain us. I went on to complete a Master’s degree in Computer Science in 1990, which opened many doors for me. I worked with the Government of India for ten years before eventually moving to Canada. It’s interesting that Punjabis are often willing to settle abroad but remain reluctant to migrate to other states within India. This is a topic worth exploring in depth!

I expect southern India to outpace growth in the Northern Part of India. Also if South India can properly create zoning laws and building codes, plus benefit from China divestment and increase manufacturing, I'm sure it will be opportune for honest and hard working Punjabis to settle, study and open businesses.

Punjabis consider themselves as superior from the rest of India... Anyone without a turban is called a "bhaiya" by Sikhs and Punjabis.. The education part is agreed that the rest of India is very ambitious about their education..1 thing that India have an advantage is higher education...

Absolutely the best question asked. All these 10+ 2 kids know is their pind or town, then Delhi airport and then ‘phoren’ country. Koi world view nhin, koi knowledge nhin India baare. Every Punjabi from outside Punjab, that I have known is generally better educated, more mature , better spoken and geared for success through right means. The sheer use of abuses by Punjabi seniors in their everyday conversations points towards the poor role models that Punjabi kids have.

Government wich baithe Punjabiyan ne changi scheme chalayi. Canada nu labor chahidi si te onna ne wi socheya, ‘bottom of the barrel’ students nu visa dwo for low cost useless courses te paihe banao. Students waise hi mostly academically bright nhin si te sirf Canada ch wadna chahnde si. Sarey pakh khush si jad tak raula nhin pya. Look at students from other states of India. They do their graduation from India in good courses then come here for high quality Masters program. They often get scholarships too because they are bright. They have clear career goals and their parents revere education. Punjab ch sirf dallaran di bhukh, with no clarity about how to earn those in a sustainable manner through fair means. Punjab has failed its youngsters…. both in Punjab and overseas. Their influences now come from dodgy rap music, social media and by watching corrupt people thrive.
