It is too late. Etiquette comes from family and takes a lot of time to learn. It’s not an overnight journey….😊

I realized that some people in our community don't bother about handicap parking spot particularly in gurudwara parking and in general.

If big stores have carts with a Loonie to put in, then we take that cart back to take that Loonie back, even in bad weather. This is our true colour.

Canadian schools, colleges and universities should have a mandatory Canadian values credit course for Canadian and International students to inculcate good habits.

Is it true that people from Punjab, India coming to Canada as students are causing chaos and fights in Brampton, specifically in the area around Sheridan College? Honestly, It's an unfortunate fact in Brampton that about 52% of our population is mostly some form of east or west Indian making it feel a lot less multicultural than it used to. Not ALL students cause fights and not specifically at sheridan. The bar across the street from me switched owners because they were debating retiring but finalized it when they got too frustrated with doing repairs and the young indian males causing fights and bringing guns into the establishment. I'd like to first start off by saying the most offensive thing I find the indian community have done is rename a portion of our street “Peter Robertson,” a famous mayor of Brampton to Gurunanak. I don't feel a Canadian street, especially already named for our mayor, should be changed to an indian religious or political figure. There is also the issue of our skyrocketing insurance rates that have coincidentally increased over the past 10 years at the same rate as our indian population, although no one else seems to want to connect those dots. The main issue is they are not very inclusive to the community who is not of their same culture. Most fast food places owned by an indian only hire indian staff, you might see one black and one white person. They also choose to only rent to people of their own culture. Many landlords choose to go through facebook marketplace or kijiji so they can write in the add “indian female only" “must speak hindu, urdu etc.” because their mother or father is the main person home and refuses to learn english then theres the best one “ cannot eat meat" its ridiculous. Lastly I just feel overly frustrated with the males mentality of being better than women that many of the young males refuse to give up. I've been shoved and squashed on buses more times than I can count especially when entering the bus because they feel entitled to get on before the women. Creeping over my shoulder and watching what is on my phone, stretching their arm out behind my steat, cabbies calling us love or flirting even when we make it very clear we are not interested. Although I cannot leave out the fact that there are those who are extremely kind and hardworking who, yes, get a bad name from those who do the things I've listed above, it is unfortunate that the bad apples always get more attention.

Unfortunately, as I was trying to edit a few spelling errors in my previous comment, i'm having technical difficulties making those changes so i'm going to leave them here. The edit option isn't working out for me. So, * AUDACITY! * can't teach.

Because of these students from Punjab the whole Indian and brown community is facing criticism. You can't disturb peace like they do back in India. Stop doing andolan abroad and please get a good education before you move out of India.

Simple fact is you are a product of your surroundings. When ever I visit India, I find majority of the people are rude, obnoxious, self indulging and self righteous. Majority of the international students must take few weeks lessons in India before coming to Canada.
