"You never know how strong you are until being strong Is the only choice you have" - Bob Marley
@Warrior_Culture3 жыл бұрын
I adamantly disagree and believe in the complete opposite. When someone has no choice and they're forced to be strong, forced to be a hero, forced to survive, then they aren't anything more than someone doing the only thing that they CAN do. It's when people HAVE a choice to be strong or to be weak, be a hero or to be a coward, to survive or to give up; That's when people really know what they're made of. Choice makes all the difference.
@stormcat23303 жыл бұрын
Ah, yes, the great Norse warrior Bob Marley. Perhaps one of my legendary ancestors and child of Odin himself. Also, I agree with the original comment/quote as well as Warrior Culture's reply.
@abrahamkline88123 жыл бұрын
@@Warrior_Culture the quote says you find out how strong you. It doesn't say you find out you are strong. People can think they are strong, but find out they are not, in the face of adversity. One may think they are weak, and realize they are much stronger than they believed. When being strong is the only choice you have, you either find out you are strong or not.
@Warrior_Culture3 жыл бұрын
@@abrahamkline8812 And my reply stands. I don't find that a person who is forced to do something is discovering how strong they are either. They may discover they're more or less than they thought they are, but they're still not doing it because they chose to. If a house is on fire and a person inside the house is forced to escape, they may discover strength they didn't know they have. But afterwards, you could imagine them saying "I'm not brave, I just had no choice." If a person is walking by the burning house and they choose to run inside to save someone rather than keep walking, that person is the one that will really know whether or not they're strong or brave, and exactly to what degree. They're usually the ones saying "I did what I had to do." when they clearly didn't have to do anything.
@abrahamkline88123 жыл бұрын
@@Warrior_Culture perhaps we're thinking of two different scenarios. My thought was more towards the idea of imagining how you would react if you found out news of losing a loved one, finding out your illness is terminal, or that you have potentially permanent damage to you physically. Would you have the strength to persevere, or give up. I've been in two of those three scenarios I've mentioned. It's easy to want to not be strong in those times, and I've known many who have, outright, folded when these things happen. When I found out I was going through Kidney failure, I could decide to skip treatments, cheat on my dietary restrictions, and coast along until I died, or stay at it until an opportunity for a kidney came along. When I was on dialysis, I knew many who chose the former. I guess in that respect you always have a choice. You can either to give up or keep going. It kind of depends on what kind of end you feel is worth putting your energy towards.

No one on the earth survives the war , man returns and the leeks start growing again. Fire and destruction . Evil escapes hel, who spent eons being tortured for their acts when alive and odins chosen may have to fight them resulting in having less Germanic warriors to fight the giants. Who knows the fate of the dead, who only suffers Borden, who hel claims and seem to ignore. Hel daughter of loki seems to despise the evil dead. hel does not like to give souls back who enter her realms. @Eric Hamilton Im sorry about the insult. That was unnecessary. Are you saying they didn't have women fighters? Are you saying that some of them couldn't just be awesome enough to have a cool tomb? How about recent studies (from 2000-) that think there are some of the tombs mistakenly linked to men when it was indeed a shield maiden? For example if the body has weapons on both sides and other gear sprinkled around it, would you say that she was just a warriors woman? Vikings have been known to be really equal and it is not impossible there to be a famous and good warrior that is not a man. Im not about secret agendas, SJW or any of that, so I am interested to hear what you say because you sounded like you think there wasn't even any female warriors.
@nefelibatacomingthrough27073 жыл бұрын
@@bigmike6179 We can't both be right. :P No participation trophies! I'd say you can even today find women who would partake on a raid - and come back with hefty loot. But because physical reasons they couldn't be part of the battle as directly as men so yeah, they were few in numbers. Not even every man is suitable enough for a job like that, perhaps men and women overlap more than we usually think. :) There was a "civilian" type woman's body in a grave with weapons. 2017 it was tested but since it has been mentioned that it wasn't a warriors body. No wounds, no strain. But I do remember seeing in a documentary about women in Viking age that there was a warrior woman in her own grave. I hope Im right but if Im wrong I might have to adjust my picture of those times. Larger raid party could have 1 woman and 99 men? Is that even large? I might not know lot about vikings, guys.

"Boastful thinking and exclamations of one's brilliance attracts misfortune into one's life. Live humbly, with quiet confidence and troubles will rarely beset you" ... You're not to think you are as good as we are. You're not to think you are smarter than we are. You're not to imagine yourself better than we are. You're not to think you know more than we do. Golden words about how the cuter a person's speech, the more likely it is that they are not who they would like to appear to be. As they say, a wolf in sheep's clothing. I have encountered such devious women both at school and at work. At first glance, they showed themselves with an open soul and very kind, simple-minded. Then after a while, their whole essence came out envious and evil, cunning as snakes. Yes, despite high intuition, we can be wrong about people. About traveling, I agree with the Vikings. Traveling around the world, we improve ourselves and unravel the mystery of man, especially visiting places of power (dolmens, Easter Island, pyramids, etc.). I realized that before going one's own way, one should reinsure oneself and protect oneself in advance from the most cruel foes who want to ruin one's life and steal not only someone else's happiness, but also one's time....
