The opening with the pants and the plywood and the duct tape and the table saw was funny. True genius.

I honestly can't think of a single show besides the Red Green Show that either maintained its quality or improved over time. Most shows start declining after 30 or so episodes but Red Green was actually better at episode 230 as compared to episode 30.

The addition of the live audience really gave them all a boost. That 1992 year was a travesty; glad they left it far behind. It just was not them at all.

In my opinion, the show starts to improve at season 6. Seeing as I grew up with cable in the early 2000s, I had never heard of this show until about a year ago when I was watching a Trailer Park Boys episode and Bubbles references it. I spent the past few months watching bits & pieces of the first five seasons and just didn't care for how they felt slower paced and not as exciting, but sometimes I'd find myself watching highlights from later seasons and remind myself "okay, I gotta keep watching the full episodes, it'll get interesting at some point, right?"

Bill does not a Pooh Bear make. lol. I have loved your show from the first time I saw it and have been a huge fan ever sense. I started watching it when I got back to America after visiting Whistler Resort. PBS had it but limited episodes. I could repeat them word for word. I'm so glad to be able to see so many more now that you're on KZbin. I wish I could afford to see one of your shows in person, maybe some day. Thank you so very much for all the crazy humor. Such a great cast. Handy man corner is my favorite. I also love all the inventions, I always wander who all comes up with the ideas for them. I'm ROFLMAO every time I watch. 😂😂😂😂😂

My 8 year old son turned me on to the show back in the early nineties. He'd have his buddies over and they would be laughing downstairs hysterically. So I went down to check it out... As soon as the d v d's were available I bought them.

Bob Bainborough wrote the lobby scenes, the Handyman tip, the Handyman Corner, the Midlife, the Experts, and even the Adventure film for this episode. Shaun Graham wrote the Word Game sketch and Campfire Song, and Peter Wildman wrote the New Member Night sketch, which IIRC was his last written sketch for the show.

@Pissantloser Wasn't it. It was full of big transitions which at the time I hated, but I think it bought the shop a lot more time by sort of making it fresh again. If they didn't try this, it may have only lasted to 10 or 12 seasons rather than 15 (or more if they wanted to continue).
