When I was in 10th grade biology class, the teacher announced, "In 100 years, red heads will be extinct" and the entire class clapped and cheered....they forgot I was there and slowly they all went silent when one student said I was there...I remember feeling so very sad and alone in that moment. I hated having orange hair until more recently. Now I love having this hair color and honestly as an adult I get a lot of compliments about it.... I hope younger people with orange hair (that get made fun of) grow to realize that it is beautiful and unique.

Well... I guess he wasn't right either. My son is a natural redhead, while both me and his mom are not (we do both have it in our genes though). If he lives to be 100 years (which - thanks to his birth year - he has a 50% chance of!), that extinction didn't happen in time ;-)

When my hair was darker red in youth, I always wanted blonde hair. When you get older, you will appreciate your red hair. My hair is fading to reddish blonde at 61 yo. I wish it was redder now. I didn’t went to Netherland festival but Netherlands have the best Redhead festival in world and the crew very nice and very lovely and friendly specially Julya and they will answer your question unlike USA festival, they don’t answer because they don’t welcome to anyone not Redhead even if you want to go to date Redhead. I love Netherland . Advice for Redhead most Middle east countries are very hot and in some countries it get about 50 degrees in August so be careful out there in summer

So, I live in Breda. The festival has been held in Breda during all the other editions. Now, this year I haven't seen any posters or anything regarding the red head days. Which I thougt was weird. Turns out it was being held in a different place all of a sudden... Such a shame. But now I know, I'm going next year.
