Great to see you sticking with this phenomenal Pulse concert. I think now would be a good time to get your socks blown off by shifting the gears into hyper-drive with One Of These Days, followed by the eye-popping finale: Run Like Hell.

"Dark Side of the Moon", the album from which "Time" comes, is a concept album with one underlying theme. It is best listened to as a whole. When you get a chance to hear it, enjoy. It is the album that had the longest amount of consecutive weeks on the album chart (84 weeks then 593 weeks).

Red, I love how you flipped the script from "older, shorter of breath, one day closer to death" to "Today is the youngest and healthiest I'll ever be". Two sides of the same coin, and you called heads! I saw Floyd live twice at Arrowhead in '88 and '94. My second favorite live band and that's a VERY close second!

Great chioce, Redhead, time was one of my favourite from Pink Floyd--listen to it every 10 years in the future, and you'll find a different meaning everytime. I first listened to it at 12, then 22, 32, 42 and now 52. Truly changes over time. For my 32 y.old listening, I was lucky to hear it live, in this precise Pulse tour. They played the show 3 days in a row here, and I was lucky to get tickets for the 1st evening, and they gave us a huge suprise to open the show (they played Astronomy Domine, which they last played live 30+ years before Pulse). But they always had a special relationship with Montreal (the Wall album was created here, so when they came, they always gave more). Have a nice day.

A true Floyd classic, the studio, audio original is perfection and the Pulse treatment adds layers of light, visuals and amazing performances. More from Pulse, do One of These Days, another great tune given even more propulsion live. Enjoy! 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎹

There is a reason this remains one of the highest selling albums of all time. It is pure musical and lyrical genius. It is meant to be listened to from start to finish though, as it is a complete work like a progressive rock symphony with various movements that flow into the next. It is not a collection of songs. It tells a story from birth, time, money, greed, death, mental health and it wraps up with everything under the sun is tune, but the sun is eclipsed by the moon. (a metaphor for the lunacy of humans) For example, the last part of Time is a reprise of the earlier track called Breathe. And right after Time is a very unique approach to how we deal with death. Portraying the stages of disbelief, anger, pain, loss and finally acceptance - all without words. In the words of Roger Waters, the lyricist regards the album: "it has some kind of universal appeal in that it confronts a number of major psychological and emotional concerns". Not only one of the highest selling albums of all time, but it has been added to the Library of Congress list of most influential recordings of all time.

17 years old in 1973 I already had their 1971 sixth album "Meddle" picked up their 7th studio album "Dark side of the moon" which this track is off a concept album designed to be played from start to finish all the songs are a narrative on the whole concept of the album if you listen to the whole album start to finish you will get new insights into every song It frequently places in the top five on lists of the greatest albums of all time made by rock music authorities. selling an estimated 50 million copies worldwide and the only album to stay in the billboard top 200 charts from 1973 till 1989 the fact that a bunch of 20-year-olds could produce such a timeless Track that is still relevant today the whole album is timeless it was musical genius.

I'm a new fan of yours and a childhood fan of Pink Floyd and have watched everyone of your beautiful reactions to Pink Floyd since I found your channel last night. It was 1973, when my late brother brought home a new 8-track tape of "Dark Side of the Moon". From then on I was hooked. I want to request a very special song that is new to me that just melted my heart. It isn't another Pink Floyd song. This video was recorded just two months ago of David performing with his daughter Romany as she plays a harp and sings one of the most beautiful, haunting songs I have ever heard. The lyrics alone will break you. David is still active in music and putting out songs and he also performs with his daughter. And yes, he will tug at your heart with his guitar solo in this song as he always does. David, still wearing his black T-shirt just makes this video seem like a dream. If you miss this request and choose some other request, you may miss out on one of the most tragically beautiful songs you can hear. Some my best memories was a new Pink Floyd album hitting Tower Records, grabbing one, stopping by the liquor store for a 6 pack or two (at $1.29 a sixer) heading to the apartment so friends and I could roll a couple doobies and listen to the new album all night. That was over 50 years ago. Thankful for those days, the friends and the music.
