Gow 4 has the upper hand cosmetic wise . The black steel skins were beautiful and not to mention the ruby, emerald and diamond characters skins . That’s what made gow so much better competitively. You actually had something to grind for that’s worth it and not just another weapon skin. So my love goes to gow 4 over gow 5 any day

If you're playing Gears 4 you can play that on your PC. It runs much better than 5 and never had any hitching issues. Also overall I think 5 is a better game even though the skill gap is worse and it runs worse. The map pool is better and the tuning is much better than core. I do wish Gears 5 movement took as much skill and timing as it did in Gears 4, the animations and character weight felt as substantial and the game still ran as well. Other than that I don't miss Gears 4.

Thank you for uploading a Gears 4 gameplay. I swotched to 4 because 5 is too much for me right now. Makes me only smash my console into pieces. Kill cam is always leaving me baffled and screaming at the screen "HOW?!". But for some reason in Gears 4 I find it acceptable every death I get because ita not major crazy when it comes to movement and actual damage the guns do. Gears 5 is currently too toxic and bugged asf.

4 is way better than 5, but they didn't get 4 right until 5 came out. i haven't been a fan of TC's management of this game, especially getting rid of actives on startup weapons .. i actually turned off kill cam on 5, kinda pointless. they also removed my controller layout in five. i used tournament-alt, which made it impossible to roll off cover. in 5, i have to map the buttons, which makes rolling off cover happen often

I've always felt that Gears 4 was a lot harder than 5. Especially when it comes to precision weapons like embar and longshot. Also, 4 looks way faster it seems

One of very few things I like in gears 5 more than gears of war 4 is your character hits what cover your camera is facing instead of hitting the cover your character is facing. Switch to gears 4 from gears 5 that's a really tough thing to get used to

Gears 5 has better maps. Gears 4 has "more" maps. They have duplicates and the majority of the ones TC made where sterile with very little atmosphere and detail. Foundation was a prime example. In fact I think Gears 4 had the worst original maps of any mainline Gears game. Every map since Nexus has looked like a Gears map in 5.

Easier movement system you mean. Other than the backwards slide there is nothing you can do on Gears 5 that you can't on 4. It just actually takes skill and timing on 4. On 5 you can mash your way to victory.

It's tough to say because both 4 and 5 had a lot of iterations/updates and both had a lot of bs lol. Gears 5 today is entirely different from how it was on launch. I think overall gears 4 had better maps, character and weapon customization system...oh and you could actually use cover and it would protect you! I was never a fan of the different core and competitive tunings though. I'd rather there just be one weapon setting so we're all on the same page. Oh, I was also going to suggest a schedule for the different games. Like uploading apex and gears videos on different days of the week. Like Apex on Sundays and Wednesdays for example, and Gears the other days. Maybe eventually you could have a day where you play a random game.

Gears is a stressful game that brings the worst out in me. It’s perfectly normal to get emotional over something you’re passionate about. Gears4 I didn’t love but I enjoyed it and played it religiously. Gears5 feels like a second Job, I’m so addicted to gears I can’t stop playing yet I hate the game lol.

The reason why Gears 4 is harder is that it's physically harder to aim your gun, characters have more weight, animations are harder to break and the movement takes actual timing and isn't forgiving like Gears 5. You can literally mash your way around the map in Gears 5. Gears 4 actually runs much better on PC as well.

Idek atp rhino pill memory loss but he loves gears 5 currently and idk there’s bunch of reasons he’s really up threes in skill on it and i been playin w him maining the game but it’s like Dahm I kinda like to spice it up with 4 or even 3 every once in a while but icy said in this video like “oh I have to get used to the movement again” and my friend said why would he sit there and re learn an old game when there’s a better new game? Gears 5 destroyed my skill on Gears of War 4. Used to be so good on Gears of War 3 and 4 because they are similar, meanwhile on 5 you have a stiff no movement botwalkers getting quads lol. Gears 5 is way more stressful to play, all 4 players on a team have to be playing together or its a shit show because of how they decided to balance the weapons. Movement is way too important, I love wallbouncing but they fucked that shit up in 5. It's just AAAA UP A BACK A. Cover in 5 isn't cover, its a mode of transportation. Holding your cover is bad for you.

There's the same bullet mag in this game that was in the previous games and Gears 5. TC just made the mistake of telling people about it instead of just releasing the game. Some things the community can't handle knowing. The only new thing they added in Gears 5 was the rotational aim assist that was basically removed early on in the game.

@@sawyer3612 It was. So was the HORRIBLE sticky aim. It actually threw me off on controller because I quick zoom and it made it hard for me to hit snipes because they forced it and didn't have a toggle to turn it off. Eventually they scaled it way back.
