Thank you. I was needing this. I wish I got into nepenthes earlier. All my plants are baby’s and I just want to see them grow up as fast as possible. Binging all your videos now, and subscribed. Thanks again

Nice video. Huge swamp cooler you have back there. I need growlights in winter for the time my plants are indoors. The plants and I hate that time of year. Almost all my plants are back out on my patio and backyard. Thank goodness. I bought some of those energy saving LED's last year. I am glad my plants like them but yeah they turn the whole room pink and it's just hard on human eyes. Wish they had a full spectrum that put out white light so all could be happy.

Scary Fear thanks Des! The pink ones are definitely hard to be around :) they do have more white colored led!

@@redleafexotics4722 I got a big panel LED from Spider Farmer, and I have smaller strip LED lights from Home Depot that are pink-ish, but almost white so they look normal enough to have around the house. The more modern LED bulbs, to go in your normal light sockets, are the same. I got rid of all my red/blue ones. It's just too hard to tell the real health of the plant. Another random question from me, is that if I have a vertical wall set-up (1 inch mesh with sphagnum and coco coir sheet behind it), will nepenthes do well in this set-up? Will they hang down or climb up? Should I have a small basket to hold orchid bark/sphagnum moss to hold the main portion of the root mass so the plant has a main horizontal starting area?

@@cutiedudie2002 yes, the red blue can be hard to see anything under. I never tried Neps in a wall system. It could possibly work as long as they don’t stay too wet and have enough light and humidity. If you try, let me know how it goes:) Thanks!

I installed 600 watts LED grow lights in my 8x6 and I have another spot light 100 watts LED. I am not using the T5 to save on my utility bill. I just installed 950 sq. ft swamp cooler for my 300 sq ft greenhouse. The plants grow better with the added lights for sure.

I recently bought from you guys. Plants arrived in great condition. I have them under LEDs right now, humidifier too. I have noticed the leaves are turning red despite being 3 to 4 ft away. Are they getting too much light or do you thinknits the spectrum? You mentioned yours turning red in the video just now.

I apologize for the question, because I’m not growing nepenthes right now, but I am growing a Venus fly trap and I’m using a T5 light. Since I can’t find the information anywhere else, I was wondering if you can tell me how far away from the Venus fly trap should I keep the T5 light? Thanks in advance.

I have a nepenthes ventricosa, but it is not as red as I’d like it to be. What can I do? I have the grow lights right on top of them less than a foot away.

How many watts do I need for 3 nepenthes indoor in the living room? It shouldn't be too huge!
