Rich Evans showing up in the background at 0:43 seconds while Mike talks about movies being filled with visual effects is a subtle hint to the viewers that Rich Evans is in fact just a visual effect. This is why you get that uneasy feeling when looking at him for too long in a clear enough shot because that is the "uncanny valley" effect. His audio is also 100% synthesized from various animal sounds.
@Buderus692 жыл бұрын

So I'm watching RedLetterMedia as one does... and I watch this Best of the Worst... and when they get to the end... I realize I've seen Gymkata before...thirty years ago as a small child. The bizarreness they talk about at the end...was REALLY bizarre to a five-year-old (the guy cutting off his own hand was terrifying). For the next thirty years (!!!) Just to clear up the intentions of The Amazing Bulk, the director commented on another video: "Thanks for your relatively positive review of my film The Amazing Bulk. It is intended to be a spoof of Hollywood blockbuster comic book hero movies. There was no attempt to try to compete in anyway shape or manner with those mega-budget films. Please note that the entire budge for the film was $14,000 and not 140k. Some moron keeps changing the budget on the IMDB. I made the film and I paid for it out of my own pocket, I don't even have close to 140k to invest in a film." (Lewis Schoenbrun) So there you go, it was meant as a spoof...yikes.
@Jman9285410 жыл бұрын
But there are spoofs/parodies that have more effort put into them. They may not be funny/unintentionally, like The Amazing Bulk, but they don't look like shit or confuse the audience as to what it's trying to achieve. If a parody doesn't come across as a parody, then that's a big fail right there.
